Do you need relief from anxiety, stress, or depressed mood…pronto? Are you going through a difficult transition or perhaps you have been dealing with this for a long time? I offer a confidential and caring space to discuss. I am a registered psychologist and I am versed in a variety of treatment modalities, namely CBT and psychodynamic therapy. I am not an advocate for “coping” with uncomfortable symptoms – these are usually modifiable and relief is possible. The therapeutic approaches I use are tailored to your specific needs and I only use techniques that have already been shown in research studies to be effective. Reach out today

In my coaching practice I utilise the findings of positive psychology , mindfulness and spirituality aspects to help you maximise your personal and professional potential.
Taking the new reality of the post pandemic era in consideration, i am addressing to all the people who deal with confusion, anxiety and despair in their private and professional lives to take matters in their hands and cease suffering in silence. There is no shame on asking for the psychological, mental and emotional support they need, rather than trying to resolve matters by themselves by making irreparable moves. More now that ever people have to come to realisation that there is help out there and they have a choice to turn their lives around and make them what they wanted them to be.

” I believe that our faith and/or spirituality play an important role in helping us find meaning and purpose while navigating loss, pain, and the struggles we face in life.
My third culture kid (TCK) upbringing nurtured in me an interest in cross-cultural dialogue and interfaith work, and I eventually became passionate about peacebuilding. I facilitated cross-cultural dialogue among university students from different countries and worked with unaccompanied refugee youth from various African countries. This has equipped me with the ability to work with people from diverse backgrounds. Inner peace is essential for peaceful relationships with others, and I learned this after witnessing the trauma of the revolution and its aftermath.

My specialty is working with young adults and professionals who are navigating various difficulties and transitions in their lives. Depending on what clients deem helpful, I incorporate tools such as Energy Healing, the Enneagram, Meditation, Internal Family Systems (IFS) and Inner Child Work.

Jungian analysis also respects our needs for creative expression, meaning, spirituality, and growth as essential aspects of human psychology.
As a licensed psychologist and certified Jungian psychoanalyst, I have had extensive experience with different problematics. Reasons for consulting may be various, but it always leads us to confront an unacknowledged part of ourselves, in a word, our own unconscious shadow. I am skilled in working with a wide variety of presenting problems, including special areas of interest such as: Women's Issues, Anxiety & Depression, Healing from Abusive parents, Spirituality and Trauma & Loss.
After 25 years in psychotherapy, I’ve seen a deep longing in women—one that goes beyond insight alone. Healing isn’t just about understanding; it’s an embodied experience. My work honors the rhythms of nature, feminine archetypes, and sacred community. I take a women-centered approach, seeing emotions as messengers, not disorders. Through therapy, new moon gatherings, and mythic exploration, I help women embrace their full, authentic selves with courage and vulnerability. Let’s walk this path together.

Being vulnerable with anyone can feel really scary at times, especially with a complete stranger, so I commend you for your bravery in taking the first step to help yourself, which is starting to look for resources, which led to you reading this message. I don’t believe that there is a fix-all approach to people, so I do not apply one theoretical practice to all clients I work with. Human beings are diverse and dynamic, so any approach to your mental well being should be as well.

Growing up in a Caribbean family taught me to serve others. Embracing Islam strengthened my passion for helping others. I offer a safe and non-judgmental space for my clients, inspired by the kindness of Prophet Muhammad PBUH. When I experienced a loss of purpose and an inability to tap into my inner strength, I had the blessing of meeting a female mentor Dr Tamara Gray, who gently guided me by encouraging me to re-write my narrative of my sensitivity as my power rather than a weakness.

Welcome to the socially-aware hypersensitives seeking a place to share their authentic Truth. The world is terrifying right now and it may be unsafe to put down the masks you've built over time, but you crave a safe and creative space to be accepted as you are. You mayfeel too much in all your intersectional, confused, imperfect, and resisting-self. Maybe you don't believe in yourself anymore, but you love the magic of stories and creativity. In right relationship, it is absolutely possible to clear the static in your head, to gain clarity and perspective, and to be nourished and strengthened when all feels hopeless.

I believe that every difficulty we meet on the journey of our lives is an opportunity to evolve - by deepening our consciousness and love so that we can participate more fully in life. I see psychotherapy as mostly a process of redirecting energies, from protective & survival modes to self-actualization. I work with adults on issues of life transitions (loss, separation, adjustment disorders), depression, anxiety, eco-anxiety, addictions, high sensitivity, giftedness, creative blocks, questions of meaning & purpose in life, etc.

Nowadays many of us are leaning on spiritual healers to attend to our mental health needs and more. While there is a lot of potential in alternative medicine, the chances of falling into the hands of the wrong healers where re-trauma occurs or even abuse, I offer Baraka Divine Healing as a corrective measure. Since 2013 after years of research and working with other consciousness experts worldwide, I developed Baraka Heart Activation. Inspired by my healing journey, I offer a safe and loving space much like a "mother's womb," hearkening the Arabic word Arahman (Ultimate Mercy) one of Allah's 99 names.

What should I expect from therapy that incorporates a focus on spirituality?

Spirituality can mean different things to different individuals, depending on their experiences, beliefs, and life histories. Some individuals focus on strengthening their belief system, while others experience spirituality in secular ways, such as through meditation, yoga, or by spending time in nature. Clients can expect a therapist to help guide and grow their spirituality through any of these techniques, encouraging the individual to cope with the challenges they face and develop strategies to build resilience and purpose to improve their outlook in life.

What are the most common treatments that include spirituality?

There are several treatments that incorporate spirituality. Mindfulness-based cognitive therapy (MBCT) helps a person examine and reframe their negative thoughts and behaviours. Acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT) focuses on emotional acceptance and psychological flexibility. Existential therapy is most often used to address anxiety, depression, grief, loneliness, apathy, despair, questions of identity, and feelings of purposelessness and existential dread. Transpersonal therapy focuses on a client’s spirituality and meaning in life and may incorporate techniques including meditation, visualisation, hypnotherapy, dream analysis, and or breathwork.

Can therapy incorporating spirituality help atheistic or agnostic individuals?

Yes. For non-believers, spirituality can offer benefits including a greater sense of connection to others and to the natural world. An interest in spirituality may also spur individuals to pursue mindfulness practices, or to contemplate their purpose in life and how to achieve it.

How effective is spirituality as a therapeutic remedy?

Research suggests spirituality is generally beneficial for individuals. It is correlated with better health habits, such as less substance use, and an improved capacity to cope with stress and other mental health challenges. Increased spirituality can lead individuals to become more empathic and less materialistic, as well.
