Jungian analysis also respects our needs for creative expression, meaning,
spirituality
, and growth as essential aspects of human psychology.
As a licensed psychologist and certified Jungian psychoanalyst, I have had extensive experience with different problematics. Reasons for consulting may be various, but it always leads us to confront an unacknowledged part of ourselves, in a word, our own unconscious shadow. His retreat was a complex design that combined psychology, mindfulness, music,
spirituality
, connection and introspection.
Testimony of a client: I don’t say this lightly: Alex changed my life. He has had more impact in my life than any other mentor, coach or therapist. He has been able to help me overcome trauma, fears and limiting beliefs by offering his own vulnerability, his deep understanding of his craft and humility. As an actor, it has directly influenced my career and the most important relationships in my life. The change comes from the relationship he is willing to build with you over time.

I work with individuals and couples who seek to improve their mental health and relationship. I work with individuals, who experienced trauma, struggling with anxiety, and/ or seeking meaning to life events. My unique life experience exposed me to different cultures and ways of living, which included the Middle East, Europe, and North America. I believe that relationships, mental health, and behaviors are better understood when body, mind, and context are examined simultaneously. I work with my clients to navigate through their experiences, including their
spirituality
, to create helpful meanings in their lives.

There are increasing psychological problems which do not meet traditional psychiatric disorders but concern developmental 'family-of-origin' attachment dynamics, impacting adult functioning-regarding work, intimacy and creativity. Although external factors are often rather 'real' and painful- self justification, rationalization and avoidance/denial often defeat heartfelt goals, dreams, desires and unique potential regarding school/work, intimacy, creativity and future possibilities.

Every relationship goes through phases of harmony and disruption. Partners generally have more trouble knowing how to move into the repair or healing process after things have gone awry. Three decades of research into relationships has offered invaluable insights in the tangible and specific skills and habits that happy couples rely on and use. When these are absent or not cultivated, relationships go into disruption and partners will not know how to find the love and closeness they’re looking for.

Are you feeling multicultural, neurodivergent, queer, loving of nature and animals, are you spiritually inclined, do you value community and social justice, been through a lot of violence and abuse, and maybe you've felt misunderstood by the medical system? You might need to move around, to create, in order to make sense of things in your life. Sitting still and talking is just so hard for you. I am an immigrant, neurodivergent and non-binary therapist who can understand the importance of having a combination of creative techniques to communicate oneself or to process stuffs.

These sessions are tailored to multicultural, queer, and/or neurodivergent Millenials and Gen Zer individuals, couples/relations, and families. Do you feel overly full and somehow empty, always the 'parent', or 'therapist' of your social circle, and feel deeply lonely? You're in the right place if you want to heal from childhood, sexual, and/or systemic trauma in a way that is fun, soft, and connects mind-body-spirit. You want to write, make masks, develop rituals, draw, and find the roles you play to move beyond the person who is broken/ill unless they are 'strong'. You want to stop masking, and truly express your whole self.

What should I expect from therapy that incorporates a focus on spirituality?
Spirituality can mean different things to different individuals, depending on their experiences, beliefs, and life histories. Some individuals focus on strengthening their belief system, while others experience spirituality in secular ways, such as through meditation, yoga, or by spending time in nature. Clients can expect a therapist to help guide and grow their spirituality through any of these techniques, encouraging the individual to cope with the challenges they face and develop strategies to build resilience and purpose to improve their outlook in life.
What are the most common treatments that include spirituality?
There are several treatments that incorporate spirituality. Mindfulness-based cognitive therapy (MBCT) helps a person examine and reframe their negative thoughts and behaviours. Acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT) focuses on emotional acceptance and psychological flexibility. Existential therapy is most often used to address anxiety, depression, grief, loneliness, apathy, despair, questions of identity, and feelings of purposelessness and existential dread. Transpersonal therapy focuses on a client’s spirituality and meaning in life and may incorporate techniques including meditation, visualisation, hypnotherapy, dream analysis, and or breathwork.
Can therapy incorporating spirituality help atheistic or agnostic individuals?
Yes. For non-believers, spirituality can offer benefits including a greater sense of connection to others and to the natural world. An interest in spirituality may also spur individuals to pursue mindfulness practices, or to contemplate their purpose in life and how to achieve it.
How effective is spirituality as a therapeutic remedy?
Research suggests spirituality is generally beneficial for individuals. It is correlated with better health habits, such as less substance use, and an improved capacity to cope with stress and other mental health challenges. Increased spirituality can lead individuals to become more empathic and less materialistic, as well.
