I work with clients who are curious about the functioning of their personality, who wish to understand better their desires and needs, as well as the way they cope with frustration and grief. I help my clients develop awareness of why it is they do the things they do, feel the way they feel and think the way they think. I aim to develop the possibility of making choices where automatism took place. By automatism, I speak of these relational patterns in which we find ourselves repeating similar uncomfortable dynamics without understanding why. So, in a broader sense, I work with patients wishing to understand themselves better.

You may look fine on the outside, but inside, you feel exhausted, restless, or disconnected. Perhaps you’ve been pushing through stress, loss, overthinking, burnout, or self-doubt, and you’re ready for things to feel different. You might feel stuck in patterns, even when you try to change them. Therapy can help you understand what’s happening and begin to shift those patterns. I’m a licensed psychologist with doctoral training in anxiety, trauma, and the mind-body connection. I work with adults navigating anxiety, burnout, grief, trauma, panic, relationship and perinatal challenges, and chronic pain/GI conditions (Crohn’s, IBS).

I highly value the therapy relationship and am committed to offering a collaborative, non-judgmental, and warm space for you to explore and express all thoughts and feelings. I primarily practice from a psychodynamic approach; we work together to understand how past experiences and early relationships inform present-day behaviours, emotions, and perspectives. Using various supportive interventions, I work with you to enhance self-awareness, explore new perspectives, and develop healthy coping tools. I adapt my approach to each individual’s needs, sometimes drawing from cognitive-behavioural and emotion-focused interventions.

Something isn’t working the way it used to. You might feel it in your relationship, more distance, more conflict, less ease. Or internally, where your mind won’t slow down, your reactions feel stronger than they should, or you keep falling into the same patterns. Whether on your own or with a partner, these patterns are often rooted in past experiences that haven’t been fully processed. During stress or life transitions, they tend to surface more strongly, leaving you feeling stuck, overwhelmed, or disconnected.

I subscribe to the idea that suffering is a natural part of the human experience; we suffer and experience discomfort so that we can adapt, build resilience, and grow. But it is possible to exceed our threshold of suffering when our coping strategies are no longer sufficient. This is when discomfort begins to feel like pain, anxiety, or depression, and is no longer helpful for growth. I like to think of my role as the collaborator and support system for times like these — helping you move through pain, reconnect with your strengths, and find space for clarity and integration.

You may be looking for a space where all aspects of who you are truly understood, without feeling like you have to constantly over-explain yourself. You CAN reach out for support while navigating anxiety, relationship challenges, and the weight of family or community expectations, all while trying to stay connected.

The psychotherapy I am offering aims to understand the nature of your current difficulties and their underlying conflicts. The psychothetapetical treatment focuses on unresolved issues or repressed trauma, bringing the latent conflicts to consciousness. Gradually, you are becoming aware of the unconscious aspects of your distress, which eventually allows you to overcome it. I am giving importance to the development of trust and will encourages you to freely express your emotions, thoughts, memories and dreams.

From the outside, your life may seem fine, but internally, things don’t feel right. You might notice a quiet sense of unease, repeating dynamics that no longer serve you, or a growing distance from parts of yourself you once felt connected to. You don’t necessarily feel overwhelmed or at a breaking point, but you know you’re ready for something to shift. I support adults who are exploring questions around identity, relationships, boundaries, and self-confidence, especially those who have learned to minimize their own needs over time. My approach is collaborative, compassionate, and practical, offering a space that feels authentic.

This approach explores the root causes of symptoms by uncovering and understanding underlying emotions through evidence-based treatment. Relationships are an important part of my work, but so is supporting individuals who feel overwhelmed, burned out, or stuck in difficult life transitions. Many people come to therapy feeling disconnected, from themselves, from others, or from a sense of meaning despite trying their best to cope. I offer a calm, supportive space to slow things down, explore what’s happening beneath the surface, and create meaningful, sustainable change in how you relate to yourself and those around you.

You may find yourself feeling stretched thin, caught in your head, or disconnected from who you are, the life you’re living, or the relationship you’re in. Stress, anxiety, low mood, or major life changes can slowly take a toll, leaving you feeling unsettled or unsure of your next step. In relationships, this might look like constant tension, feeling misunderstood, or growing apart despite your efforts. Individually, it can show up as overthinking, emotional exhaustion, or a lingering sense that something is off. Whatever brings you here, you know things can’t keep going this way.
