I use a client centered, strength-based approach to foster a supportive, non-judgemental environment where my clients can begin to experience themselves as creative, empowered and open. With a collaborative spirit of empathy and curiosity we will explore the client's strengths, challenges, unique abilities and potential for growth. Combining talk therapy with elements of mindfulness and artistic expression, I aim to create a warm, non-threatening environment in which children, adolescents and adults can explore and communicate their thoughts and feelings.

I believe that every difficulty we meet on the journey of our lives is an opportunity to evolve - by deepening our consciousness and love so that we can participate more fully in life. I see psychotherapy as mostly a process of redirecting energies, from protective & survival modes to self-actualization. I work with adults on issues of life transitions (loss, separation, adjustment disorders), depression, anxiety, eco-anxiety, addictions, high sensitivity, giftedness, creative blocks, questions of meaning & purpose in life, etc.

We can all be negatively affected by life's challenges, overwhelming experiences, and hurtful events. For many, we reach a point where we cannot navigate alone, or in the same old ways. Needing help from others is in our nature as humans. Supportive counselling provides a confidential therapeutic space that is just yours. Together, we can move through the things that are blocked, painful, or frustrating - in ways that offer healing, grace and dignity.

It is human to struggle, we all have our ups and downs and being isolated in our emotional experience can just make it worse. Most emotions and behaviour makes sense in context. However, when left on our own to try to piece together our challenges, we can find ourselves plagued with self doubt and often feel lost. Therapy can help you see your situation objectively, accept even the imperfect parts of yourself, and work to use these parts as a roadmap into better health and well-being. We are not always able to control what life throws our way, but with help, we can transform these experiences into personal growth and wisdom.
