We can help you and your family cope with and overcome life challenges, relationship conflicts, traumas, and mental health concerns. Our services are provided by registered psychologists, registered psychotherapists and experienced masters/doctoral clinicians under supervision. We provide counselling, individual psychotherapy, couple therapy, family therapy, sex therapy, psychological and vocational assessment and psycho-educational assessment and intervention. We serve children, adolescents, adults, couples and families of diverse backgrounds. We have two locations: Oshawa and Woodbine.
We can help in many areas: Addictions, Major adjustment and developmental transitions, Significant relationship issues, Socially related issues and trauma, Child development and behavioural issues and Mental health concerns such as Anger management, Depression, Anxiety, Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder, Phobias, Eating Disorders, and Personality Disorders.
We welcome your calls and emails. The first step in the process will be to connect with our intake coordinator to ensure you are connected with the most appropriate service and clinician.

Psychological services are not covered by OHIP but by many extended insurance plans.

Adult DBT Skills Group

Do you have difficulty maintaining positive relationships, trouble controlling your mood, impulses, and behaviour, or struggle with substance abuse, PTSD, depression, anxiety, self-harm, eating disorders, and/or have suicidal thoughts and attempts, please consider DBT Skills Group. The modules are divided up into 5 weeks with 4 modules in total. The next module is Distress Tolerance. 5-week modules ($600); maximum of 10 people. Before beginning, clients must attend an Orientation session (½ hour - cost $60). All participants are asked to purchase Manual ($45) available at reception. Next starting date: Thursday, February 4 held online with Zoom.

Adolescent DBT Group + Caregivers Skills Group

OPCS is now offering DBT individual and skills group treatment to Adolescents 14-17 years old with complex mental health issues. One-hour pre-group screening $60. 4 Modules: March 3 - March 31 Distress Tolerance; April 14 - May 12 Walking the Middle Path; May 26 -June 23 Emotion Regulation; July 7 - Aug. 4 Interpersonal Effectiveness. 20 sessions. $90 per session. Participants may sign up before any module. DBT Skills Manual for Adolescents is available to purchase online for $63. Caregivers/Parents encouraged to join Caregivers Skills Group: Monday evenings 6:00 – 7:30pm $90/person per week. Online Virtual Zoom.

Build Community. Make Connections. Process Your Emotions. Finding a safe space for sharing and exploring personal difficulties can be challenging for many LGBTQ2+ folks. This therapy group offers a unique opportunity to seek support and unpack your lived experiences through the guidance of two skilled facilitators. We will draw upon psychological strengths and benefits from the group dynamics that arise in a welcoming, warm, inclusive environment.
