"As a psychotherapist and supervisor, I have met with people across many differences/similarities. Are you facing an immediate challenge? Or working on something old? I believe our whole being is needed as we work for the life we want (body included). And I am curious about how systems of power impact us as we work together too. What about you? What do you think is possible or where do you feel stuck? "

"*Now accepting clients* For so many, the hardest part of therapy is putting themselves first. When you’ve come to the point of accepting that you need support in overcoming challenges in your life, you may feel overwhelmed, beat down, tired, and low. Many of my clients feel a sense of relief following the first session where they’ve taken the first step in improving their life, relationships, and happiness. Therapy is work, and requires dedication to the process and to yourself."

"Therapy is an opportunity to find ways to live a more fulfilling and satisfying life. It can help you to: overcome difficult symptoms or stresses, cope effectively with problems, or bring more positives into your life when things are going well. I will approach therapy as a balance of helping you learn to understand and accept yourself and your life situations, and supporting you in learning to change ways of thinking and behaving that are not working for you. I am also currently offering training for Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT). Please inquire if interested. "

"Therapy is most effective when it is a partnership between the client and the therapist, and where we work together to help you make the changes that you are looking to make. Most of us may need to access therapy at some point to help us work through a difficult period in our lives. Everyone deserves a safe and judgment free space where they feel heard, respected and validated."

"My approach is supportive, relational and non-judgmental. I move together with my clients in an undemanding way, but deeply, and with a lot of care. I am interested in working with clients seeking to explore their choices around how they are living in the world. How are you in your relationships to others and the larger contextual field? How are you with anxiety, loss, anger, addiction, or distractions? I encourage an exploration of your unique ways in the context of your past and present worlds. "

Psychodynamic Counsellors
Psychodynamic therapy in M6G, also known as insight-oriented therapy, evolved from Freudian psychoanalysis. Like adherents of psychoanalysis, psychodynamic therapists believe that bringing the unconscious into conscious awareness promotes insight and resolves conflict. But psychodynamic therapy is briefer and less intensive than psychoanalysis and also focuses on the relationship between the therapist and the client, as a way to learn about how the client relates to everyone in their life.

How can I tell if a therapist is right for me?
Therapists in M6G are able to work with a wide range of issues.

For example, if you're seeking a marriage counsellor in M6G you'll find that most therapists are trained in marriage counselling or couples counselling in M6G and couples therapy. And they welcome families for family counselling in M6G or family therapy in M6G.
