I am a licensed psychologist working with adult clients in individual therapy. I have worked with a wide range of clients in my practice and use a collaborative and strength based approach that includes CBT, humanistic, and solution focused modalities. I help clients deal with issues such as stress management, depression, anxiety, burn out and trauma.
I also specialize in the area of multicultural counseling, teaching, and training. I actively contribute to the discipline and study of psychology through graduate level teaching and scholarly publications that have focused on issues of acculturation, cultural identity and cross-cultural transitions.
I believe clients seek help for a number of different reasons and at different points in their lives. I specialize in helping clients to gain deeper personal insight and understanding, examine unhealthy patterns and relationships, and create positive and constructive changes in their lives.
I approach each client within the broader context of his/her life and relationships. I hold the fundamental belief that each individual is a resilient and whole person that possesses strengths and competencies. I help clients to discover and develop these skills in order to make the positive changes they seek in their lives.
