Welcome to my page! Are you struggling with a breakup, loneliness, romantic relationship and friendship challenges, prenatal and maternal mental health, ADHD, and just burnt out? Then I would be honoured to work with you! While we work together, you can expect a warm and safe place to identify and explore all of your doubts, confusion, curiosities and triggers. Relationships can be our haven from these traumas, but they can also be the cause of our distress. Relational-based therapy can be a brilliant place to slow down and examine our patterns of thinking, feeling, and behaving in the present moment.

You are Tired of feeling stuck. You want life to look and feel different but nothing you have tried has helped. You know there must be another way. You Snap more easily with your partner, your children, your loved ones and the Guilt shows up. You Know you can do better, but just feel lost and overwhelmed. You're tired of feeling not good enough when you are putting in 120% Every Day. You're a parent trying to juggle all the balls and you feel alone. The lack of sleep is taking it's toll and you're Googling "gentle" sleep consultants hoping more sleep will make a difference, but can't imagine leaving your baby to Cry It Out.

I operate from a strength based approach, using a powerful combination of NLP (neuro-linguistic programming) hypnosis and Time Line Therapy®. I work in person and online. We will achieve success by uncovering the unconscious patterns and programming that is keeping you stuck! We work where behaviour, emotions and reactions are actually coming from. Huge shifts happen fast, even when they have been suffering for years. There is a way to heal that is easier and simpler - without talking about all the content, and reliving the pain. Free Consults available online and I will work on a sliding scale in these tough times.

You search for therapists but don’t know if you will go through the session because you’re afraid of what you might discover? Sometimes you may not even know why you feel the way you do. As a full time working mother, I get how hard it is to always be stressed, to feel frustrated, and overwhelmed. It’s hard prioritizing mental health when you are already burdened with so many responsibilities whether finances, home, kids, school, or work. Except, when you finally do put yourself first you realize how liberating it is...to be in control of your emotions, to have the coping mechanisms to help you through the difficult days...

Pregnancy, Prenatal, Postpartum Counsellors

What are the most effective ways to address pregnancy, prenatal, and postpartum concerns?

The most effective way to address pregnancy, prenatal, and postpartum concerns is by finding a therapist who has prior experience helping other patients overcome the challenge being faced. For example, a marriage and family therapist may have experience helping couples adjust to their new relationship dynamic. An anxiety specialist may have experience helping with phobias or illness anxiety related to the child’s health. A depression specialist may have experience treating postpartum depression.

When should I seek treatment for prenatal or postpartum concerns?

Pregnancy and the postpartum period involve intense physical and mental changes; a degree of upset and instability is normal. However, if these changes impair daily functioning, it may be time to seek help. This distinction is pertinent for postpartum depression: A period of teariness, irritability, and distress is difficult but normal in the one to two weeks after childbirth (sometimes called the “baby blues.”) But if feelings of sadness and hopelessness persist beyond that period, the person should seek treatment.

How do I manage worries during pregnancy or the postnatal period?

A therapist can help patients develop the tools they need to manage anxieties during or after pregnancy. Cognitive behavioural therapy can help people identify and reframe harmful patterns of thought, and change their behaviours. Other techniques and skills can allow people to develop acceptance, psychological flexibility, self-compassion, communication skills, and more.
