Hi! I’m Denise. My approach to counselling comes from a place of compassion and life experience. My specialties are Divorce and Grief therapy for kids (4+), teens and adults (including co-parents), in-person and online. I know how difficult it is to open up to others, but sometimes, we just can’t navigate the challenging and complex parts of life alone. Experiencing a death or loss, separation or divorce can be gut-wrenching; I know because I've been there. No matter your circumstances, together, we will get you through the ups and downs & everything in between.
As a doctor turned psychotherapist, my medical background has given me a unique and invaluable perspective on the human condition. In addition, I have a Masters Degree in Counselling Psychology and am trained in several therapeutic modalities focused on working with children, teenagers, and adults (co-parents included). Even more than this, I am authentic.
If you or your child choose to work with me, I will ensure you are heard, understood, accepted, and free to be yourself completely. There is no shame in seeking therapy. I will help challenge you to see yourself as you truly are, what you are capable of and how we can work towards rediscovering the part of you that may have been lost in your challenges.
