The clients I treat are adults who want to see a counsellor online who may be dealing with things such as anxiety, PTSD, trauma, family of origin issues, relationship issues, grief and loss, depression, life decisions, career challenges, life and workplace stress. I see clients wanting to overcome a personal challenge to be able to feel more free and alive to pursue a healthier and less stressful life. I also see couples wanting to improve their relationship skills and reduce conflict.
I am trained in EMDR which is especially effective with PTSD and trauma as well as performance enhancement. I also have a longstanding background in mindfulness based psychotherapy which is especially helpful with anxiety and stress reduction. In addition I have training and experience in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Solution Focused Therapy, and others.
You may be feeling overwhelmed with your issues. I see therapy as a joint venture in which a person seeks help from an experienced practitioner to assist them in overcoming some obstacle or problem in their life. An essential ingredient is the ability to have honest conversations in a non-judgemental, trusting and safe relationship with the therapist.
