Even highly capable people can find themselves stuck in anxiety, emotional pain or patterns that no longer make sense. With over 30 years of clinical experience—and 17 years as a university professor of clinical psychology—I work with adults and couples to understand and resolve the deeper emotional and relational roots of distress. My focus is on creating meaningful, lasting change rather than short-term symptom management, helping clients move toward greater stability, clarity and emotional freedom.
I specialize in trauma-related difficulties, including anxiety and panic, depression, OCD, addictions, grief, sexual and intimacy concerns as well as relationship struggles. My work focuses on identifying the underlying emotional and nervous-system patterns that drive these issues, so change occurs at the source rather than through willpower alone.
My approach is primarily trauma-informed and emotion-focused, integrating EMDR and Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) in my work with individuals and couples. Clients often describe me as thoughtful, perceptive and grounded. I work collaboratively to understand both what you are experiencing and why certain patterns persist, especially when emotions run high.
