As a counsellor, I provide a warm and caring space for each individual and respect each person’s uniqueness recognizing that people are complex beings who are physical, emotional, intellectual, social and spiritual beings. I have a Masters of Counselling and am licensed as an Certified Professional Counsellor (CPC). I work with individuals or couples who want to find relief and healing in their present circumstances. Whether treating issues that are rooted in underlying past events or have occurred recently, I work with clients to find healthier ways of living. I am available for both in-person or virtual sessions.
My approach is integrative and person-centred. I use numerous approaches, including Emotionally Focused Therapy, Attachment, Narrative Therapy and Cognitive Behavioural Therapy. Some of my practice areas include anxiety and worry, depression, relationship conflicts, life situations and changes, grief, self-esteem, emotional regulation, guilt, and shame.
For couples, I am certified in level one Gottman Therapy as well as a certified facilitator in Prepare/Enrich and can help in areas such as: marriage enrichment, pre-marital counselling, conflict resolution, and navigating life transitions. I am also open to exploring other challenges that may be faced in life by individuals or couples..
