Peace of Mind Therapy and Consultation, MEd, BSW, RSW, Clinical Social Work/Therapist in Winnipeg
Throughout life we all face challenges. Anxiety, depression and troubled relationships with oneself or others are familiar concerns to a seasoned therapist like myself. My empathic, genuine and open nature sets people at ease. Within this safe space children, adolescents and adults become comfortable to explore issues and begin their journey of healing. My goal: empowered clients leading healthy lives.
I empower individuals and couples to reach a greater self-awareness using various approaches. My ever-expanding professional 'tool box' includes Cognitive Based Therapy, Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) Therapy and Play Therapy. With my gentle guidance through these and other strategies my clients enjoy a more balanced and happy life.
As a registered social worker with three decades of experience in our school, adoption and child welfare systems, I understand the challenges families face, as well as the opportunities and programs available to children. My child-focused, holistic approach dictates beginning with parent/caregiver meetings to establish background information prior to engaging with child clients.
