Reg'd Psychotherapist/ social worker with 20+ years of mental health training/experience. I offer psychotherapy for a range of issues including PTSD for both veterans and their spouses, complex trauma, anxiety and depression. A variety of strategies may be incorporated into treatment such as DBT, and EMDR or Emotion Focused Therapy strategies where applicable. A psychodynamic perspective is often a part of sessions. LGBTQ+ friendly practice. Wait list 4-6 months.
I provide individual therapy sessions that can include Dialectical Behavior Therapy strategies, Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (although I do not follow a strict CBT protocol), or Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing as an approach to trauma, depending on the needs of the client. I take a psychodynamic approach to family of origin issues.
I specialize in PTSD and complex trauma, but also work with anxiety, depression, chronic pain or life stressors in general.
