Patricia is a Clinical Social Worker who specializes in treating PTSD, depression and anxiety. Since 2002, she has provided treatment for Canadian Armed Forces, Veterans, Firefighters, Paramedics, RCMP Members and Edmonton Police Service Members, as well as their families. She has worked in a number of clinical settings, including private practice. Patricia has experience in treating couples who are coping with a variety of relationship and/or mental health issues. She enjoys working with couples who are motivated to work with one another towards an emotionally connected and satisfying relationship.
Patricia has specialized training in Prolonged Exposure Therapy (PE), Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT), EMDR, and Cognitive Behavioural Conjoint Therapy (CBCT), four of the most well researched PTSD treatments available. She has training in Gottman Method Couples Therapy and Emotionally Focused Couples Therapy, both evidence-based couple therapies.
Patricia chooses to pursue training in evidence-based treatments that are shown to be the most effective in helping clients to reduce their symptoms and achieve their goals. She participates in clinical training on a regular basis and frequently consults with other clinicians who are motivated to do the same.
