Hello! I am a FIlipina Counsellor and Instructor that centers culture, embodied healing, and education. I work from an anti-oppressive, culture-sensitive, and integrative holistic approach where I use somatic therapy (body work), Internal Family Systems (parts work), Narrative Therapy, Poetry Therapy, and Dialectical Behavior Therapy. Clients come to me wanting to feel grounded again, gain control, learn new regulation techniques, and to heal in ways that honour both mind and body. I work great with overwhelmed parents, youth struggling to cope, and identity/cultural trauma.
In my practice, Counselling with Mirth, I utilize my multidisciplinary experience as a poet, meditation teacher, and educator to offer sessions that blend talk therapy, psychoeducation, somatic processing, and therapeutic writing. As an anti-oppressive counsellor, Filipino immigrant and settler, I commit to decolonial practices and culture-centred care.
