Within family units, the need for each member to feel heard cannot be overstated. My approach to couples counselling places emphasis on effective communication while resolving damage done to the relationship by unfair fighting, infidelity or other relationship-based challenges preventing the couple from realizing the benefits of healthy coupling.
I feel passionately about the quality of relationships and the degree to which relational needs are met. I feel strongly about the importance of healthy relationships on our overall quality of life and have chosen to specialize in couples relationships. My educational approach integrates neuroscience, attachment theory and arousal regulation.
The manner in which we interact in our relationships is largely informed by our experiences in childhood. The beliefs and behaviours that result may have been effective then but may now be standing in the way of healthy relationship dynamics. With a collaborative approach we will develop effective skills and find true fulfillment in your relationships.
