Hello & welcome. It takes courage to reach out for help; so whether you are doing so for the first time or are returning, I commend you for taking this important step. Trauma (single-episode or complex), and anxiety & depression can significantly affect our mental, physical and emotional health, as well as our relationships and daily life. Hurts from long ago can affect us in profound and sneaky ways, even if we thought we had dealt with them or they were not 'that bad.' But you can have healing in your life. In therapy, we will work together to understand the problem, heal the hurts and get you living your best life.
My passion and training is in trauma (single incident and complex), dissociation, and attachment, and how it affects our experience in the world. I offer talk therapy and EMDR for trauma, anxiety, depression, and perinatal mental health. I also incorporate Internal Family Systems, mindfulness, and DBT and CBT.
Life today can complicated. Stress comes at from all angles, and if we have pre-existing traumas, that can make it so much harder to manage. We are doing the best we can. I see and honour that. I will create safe environment, filled with understanding and compassion, and free of judgement, so that we can explore concerns and build healing into your life.
