Searching for the right counsellor isn’t an easy process, but it is a necessary one. Through establishing a safe space, trust, and empathy, my philosophy is to form a therapeutic relationship between us to the benefit of your mental health.
I am a firm believer in Dr. Carl Rogers idea that “Each client is their own theory”. In other words, my approach involves tailoring counselling to what suits you. My work is primarily anchored in third wave, evidence-based theories such as CBT, DBT, and mindfulness. I am careful in recognizing that every individual has their own unique needs.
As a counsellor, I have been privileged to work with individuals and families with a wide array of issues and concerns. The beauty of counselling is that you don’t need to be entirely sure of what is it that is causing you distress - we can discover that together.
