The resiliency of individuals who have experienced trauma in their childhood humbles me. When speaking with clients with childhood trauma, clients often say that this is the first time that they are talking about their traumatic experience. The reason that they are choosing to address the trauma now is because it continues to get in the way and they want to create change in order to move forward with family, relationships, work, or quality of life. I can help process the trauma so that moving forward is possible.
I specialize in working with adults who have experienced childhood trauma. Trauma can include: abuse, neglect, parents' divorce, family violence, medical procedures, bullying, difficult transitions, loss, and inconsistent parenting. What is traumatic for one individual may not be for another; this, however, does not make the experience any less significant.
I can offer daytime and evening appointments. If meeting in an office is an obstacle for you, we can meet outside of the office in the northwest of Calgary.
