I am a registered Social Worker (RSW) with over 20+ years of counselling experience in mental health and addiction. I’ve got a diverse background having worked with clients in group and youth homes, corrections, victim services, addiction centres, and community health centres. I have unique expertise in trauma counselling, including the EMDR, Traumatic Incident Reduction and Psychedelic-Assisted psychotherapy. I also have a holistic approach to counselling, and like to explore the mind, body, and spirit connection as an Integrative Mental Health Professional. I also specialize in addictions and mood disorders.
My diverse background in counselling allows me to use various complementary techniques that would best suit your needs. These include EMDR, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Dialectical Behaviour Therapy, Trauma-Focused CBT, Motivational Interviewing, Traumatic Incident Reduction, Emotion-Focused Therapy and Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction, and more.
My goal as a practitioner has been to support people going through challenges by getting curious into understanding the source of specific biopsychosocial and spiritual patterns to empower them to make functional changes in their lives.
