I enjoy working with individuals with ADHD.
Psychotherapy is my second career, and that makes me stronger as a therapist. That's because, in addition to my academic qualifications and clinical training, my own lived experiences as a daughter, a wife and mother, a student, an employee and an entrepreneur help me relate to my clients in so many meaningful ways. Clients relate to my sense of humour, empathy, and desire for growth as a person and as a therapist. And they value my ability to get to the root of the issue and expertise in both practical problem-solving and supporting clients' growth.

Life can feel unbearably heavy at times, and we may not always know how to carry it. Anxiety, overwhelm, and depression can take hold. Having lived with a chronic illness and navigated life across several countries, I understand how isolating and difficult these moments can be. You don’t have to face them alone. As a Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying) and MA in Counseling Psychology student under clinical supervision, I offer a warm, non-judgmental space where you can feel truly seen, supported, and less alone with what you're carrying.

I typically work with clients with neurodivergence ( ADHD, Autism, mental health), complex trauma (childhood abuse, domestic and sexual violence, racial/gender violence), stress and burnout, anxiety, depression, grief, relationship challenges, and separation/divorce.
Accepting new clients! I am a social worker and psychotherapist who feels grateful every day to be welcomed into people’s lives. For me, there is nothing more meaningful than being part of someone’s journey of growth and healing. I work with individuals, couples, families, and groups through a Relational and Gestalt lens, paying attention not only to words but also to the ways our bodies and actions tell the story of what matters most.

I guide clients through experiences like: Neurodivergence – including ADD/ ADHD, Autism.
I’m Adelle, a bilingual therapist (French and English) whose passions come from years of experience supporting equity-deserving communities. My values as a therapist are to listen without judgment, to advocate when needed, and to adapt therapy so it truly fits you. Therapy can feel daunting, but together we can create a space where talking and even expressing yourself feels safe and possible. Rather than a one-size-fits-all method, I draw from different therapeutic approaches and shape them to meet your unique needs and create a space where you feel truly supported.

Drawing on mind-body connections, I encourage individuals to dig deep as they learn to accept and trust their emotions. Focusing on the "here and now", I support individuals to see how the past is intricately linked to their present experience. I am passionate about helping adults and adolescents (16+) struggling with anxiety, depression, body image, and codependency. Having worked extensively with families, youth, and adults, I understand the challenges individuals can face in working through issues at home, at school/work, and between peers. I offer services both in-person and online to suit your preference.

When should I seek treatment for ADHD?

You should seek treatment for ADHD if you consistently have difficulty with attention, hyperactivity, or impulsivity that interferes with your daily life. Symptoms of ADHD include the inability to sustain attention during tasks, difficulty organizing tasks and activities, being easily distracted, frequent fidgeting or squirming, and talking or interrupting excessively. If these symptoms interfere with your career, academics, or relationships—for example, consistently failing to complete professional projects on time—you should seek an evaluation for ADHD.

How does treatment for ADHD work?

Effective treatment for ADHD often consists of medication, behavioral therapy, and lifestyle changes. Stimulant medications such as Adderall and Ritalin work by altering levels of neurotransmitters in the brain; higher levels of dopamine and norepinephrine are known to improve attention and focus. Therapy works by helping people with ADHD understand the condition, discuss their areas of difficulty, and develop behavioral strategies to manage their symptoms. In some cases, modifying one’s diet and exercise can also help improve symptoms.

Are there specific medications for ADHD?

Medications to treat ADHD are generally stimulants, the most common are Adderall and Ritalin. There are two categories of stimulants: Amphetamines include Adderall, Dyanavel, Vyvanse, and Dexedrine, and methylphenidates include Ritalin, Concerta, Daytrana, Focalin, Quillichew, Quillivant, and Metadate. Non-stimulants and antidepressants may be used as an alternative if stimulants aren’t effective or viable for a particular patient.

How long does treatment for ADHD take?

It’s tough to give an exact time frame because everyone varies. In terms of medications, stimulants begin to work very soon after you take them, generally within the hour. It may take time to identify the right medication and dosage, but the medication itself is fast-acting. In terms of therapy, it takes time to develop skills and put them into practice, but you will likely see improvements within a few weeks or months.
