Hello, My name is Cynthia Manley and I am a Certified Play Therapist with the Canadian Association for Play Therapy. I help children who are stuggling with a variety of challenges incuding anxiety, grief and trauma. I take a child-centered approach to working with children, which means I follow the child's lead in my work. Parents are crucial in the healing process, and I value working together toward meeting treatment goals.

I provide client-centred counselling services across the life span. However, my ideal clients are children, youth and neurodivergent folks.

I view my role in therapy as that of a coach, who strives to help youth and their families to make meaningful changes in their lives. I value a collaborative approach, and always aim to foster a positive environment where clients feel supported in taking steps toward their goals. I am first and foremost client-centred and collaborative in my approach, which means we work together on how to best support your mental health. Some modalities I tend to draw upon are play therapy, sand tray therapy, expressive arts, narrative therapy, and DBT. However, therapy is for you, and if something doesn’t resonate, we will shift gears until we find something that does. Therapy is a journey we walk together.

I provide therapy for children and youth who are experiencing a number of life challenges, such as anxiety, stress, trauma or divorce. Children are ideal candidates for early intervention and lasting change is often realized in a short amount of time. In my work with teens, I use a holistic, mindful approach, offering them tools and guidance. Through exploring their life experiences, values and unique strengths, teens develop self-awareness, confidence and self-regulation.
