My specialties include anxiety, depression, stress, life and career transitions, grief, marriage and relationship conflicts, dating, and parenting. I realize there is rarely one issue and it takes courage to ask for help. I offer a safe, sincere and supportive environment to share, reflect upon, and experience positive growth from the issues you bring to counselling. I work with individuals, couples and families and have over 20 years of experience helping people share their stories and struggles - to feel heard and understood. Please know I also offer professional supervision to other psychotherapists and now, EMDR to clients.
I will help you become more aware of unhelpful patterns and provide tools to better manage and overcome stress and conflicts, build self-esteem, improve communication and intimacy, develop self-compassion and acceptance, find meaning and hope. I believe the process of healing, change and growth is about managing symptoms and also addressing root causes.
I hold a Master's degree from the University of Toronto and have more advanced training in couples and family therapy, cognitive, mindfulness therapies, EFT, EFFT, IFS, EMDR, etc. I draw from a combination of methods to meet your needs and goals.
