I’m an RP and RN, here to help you get to know yourself better and to find the changes you want to make in your life, whether these are changes in how you engage with the world outside, or in how you engage with your self. I bring a non-judgemental lens (really!) and full respect for the complex person you already are. This is not only to affirm you, but also as a foundation for challenging you to consider new perspectives. I enjoy working with people on all kinds of concerns; some common ones are shame, addictions, life-transitions, anxiety, self-exploration, and grief. You are welcome here.

As humans we have a deep need to find connection. One of the most challenging things we can face is difficulty being seen and building relationship . Our routes to connection are forged in the relationships we first learn from, early in our lives. Finding our way through what that means for our current reality can be hard to do alone. Together we will explore what came before and what may be next, without losing sight of life now. Sometimes this means sitting in the muck with you; with the trauma, or the depression or the anxiety, and finding a way through; building new pathways of relationship and of being in the world.

Experiencing loss in life is 100% going to happen—it's either already happened or it’s coming. Death, the breakdown of a relationship/divorce, partner loss, a terminal diagnosis, cultural differences, or the slow anticipatory grief of a loved one or pet fading—whatever it is, your $h!T is upside down. These things change you. You’re not who you were before & you can’t go back. Caregivers, grievers, partners, and couples—whether you’re navigating illness together or cultural differences—I’m here. We talk honestly about: death, grief, identity and meaning. No sugarcoating. Just real conversations and space to find your way forward.

Every relationship tells a story—of longing, closeness, distance, and the courage to try again. Often, these stories become tangled, leaving us feeling stuck between others or within ourselves. At the heart of it all is a fundamental human need: to feel seen, safe, and understood. Whether you are navigating the dance of moving toward and pulling away or seeking comfort in solitude, these cycles can leave you feeling isolated. I help you untangle these patterns, honoring the deep longing for connection that drives us all. Together, we begin the journey toward genuine healing.

If you often feel overwhelmed, misunderstood, or like your way of experiencing the world doesn’t quite fit what’s expected of you, therapy can be a space to slow things down and make sense of that together. I work with people navigating neurodivergence, cultural identity, relationships, and patterns shaped by stress, sensitivity, or adapting to environments that haven’t always fit. This can include experiences of anxiety, shutdown, masking, burnout, or difficulty understanding your own needs in relationships and daily life.

Are you concerned about your child's emotional well-being or behavior? Has your child faced significant changes or challenges such as a parental separation, family transitions and social difficulties? Are you worried about how to navigate these challenges as a family and how these changes affect your child's future? It can be difficult to deal with these problems alone, and manage all the emotions can come with it.

My passion is in the treatment of anxiety and anxiety-related disorders, including perinatal anxiety, excessive worry, stress, difficulty coping, insomnia, low self-esteem, perfectionism, panic, OCD, and cognitive change in aging. Do you feel overwhelmed, emotionally drained, or like you’re holding everything together on the outside while struggling internally? I work with high‑functioning adults across Ontario who are navigating anxiety, depression, trauma, and the effects of long‑term stress. Many of the people I support are balancing work, caregiving, relationships, and major life transitions, and are starting to notice it no longer feels sustainable. In our work together, we create space to slow down, make sense of what you’ve been carrying, and build practical ways to feel more grounded, clear, and balanced in your daily life.

FAQ - About Geriatric Therapy
What can a geriatric psychologist help with?
Geriatric therapists specialise in the cognitive and neurological challenges that often accompany aging, including dementia, memory loss, and age-related cognitive decline. They also address the psychological conditions that frequently co-occur with these issues, such as depression, anxiety, and grief. Geriatric therapists and psychologists are trained to assess cognitive functioning, identify symptoms that may warrant further evaluation, and conduct or refer for formal neurological assessment when needed. In many cases, geriatric therapists also work closely with medical doctors to manage a client's overall health, and they may support caregivers and family members navigating the demands of caring for an aging loved one.

Why might someone seek a geriatric psychologist?
Someone might seek a geriatric therapist when they or a loved one begins experiencing cognitive or neurological changes and is unsure whether those changes are a normal part of aging or something that requires clinical attention. A geriatric therapist can help connect families with appropriate next steps. They are also commonly sought following a new diagnosis, when clients and families are working to understand what that diagnosis means practically and emotionally, and what to expect as a condition progresses. When seeking a therapist, it can be helpful to consider whether a clinician with a stronger psychotherapy focus or one with more of a social work orientation, who can help connect clients with assisted living or medical resources, would be the better fit.

What type of therapy might a geriatric therapists specialise in?
Geriatric therapist often combine psychotherapy with psychoeducation, helping clients and their families understand cognitive and neurological conditions and what to expect as they progress. For clients experiencing anxiety or depression alongside cognitive decline, therapists may draw on Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) or mindfulness-based approaches. For clients with dementia specifically, therapists may be trained in specialised modalities such as Cognitive Stimulation Therapy (CST), which is designed to preserve cognitive functioning.

Can geriatric psychologists help people who suffer from dementia?
Yes, and this is a core area of geriatric psychology. Therapists specialising in dementia can work directly with clients on memory loss and cognitive functioning, while also addressing conditions that commonly co-occur, such as depression and anxiety. They can provide caregivers with objective assessments of a client's functioning and disease progression, and are typically well-versed in community resources available to dementia patients and their families.
