I work with children (5+), teenagers and young adults, especially those who have challenges related to ADHD, autism, anger, anxiety, or low mood.
I offer a supportive space where therapy feels approachable and flexible. I draw from DBT, narrative work, and play-based approaches to help young people develop emotional awareness, regulation skills, and a stronger sense of self, always at their own pace, in a way that feels right for them.

My ideal client is motivated to change but needs help with how exactly to do that. They have a curiosity about them. They are interested in exploring what led them where they are in life. They might want better emotional regulation, help sorting out painful memories, healing from trauma, help finding direction and passion in life, help with communication or connecting in their relationships, or something else entirely. They want to talk to someone about what has happened to them so that they can move to a healthier place in life. I love working with couples, entrepreneurs, pastors, veterans, and many others.

If you’ve been feeling stuck, anxious, or weighed down by unresolved emotions from the past, you’re not alone. Maybe you’re hoping to find clarity, stronger boundaries, or a deeper sense of self. If you're ready for change — even if you're not sure where to begin — we can explore what’s been holding you back. Together, we’ll work toward healing and growth. And if some creative expressive arts approaches are appealing, we can blend some of that in with the traditional talk therapy to bring about more insight and help you feel more grounded, empowered, and connected to who you truly are.

Sometimes life hands us some situations that are difficult to manage on our own, despite doing the best we can with what we have available to us. If you are looking for additional support along this journey, I will work alongside you, and or your child to explore a particular mental health concern, key changes you are looking to make or developing a different understanding of yourself and or particular situations while potentially gaining awareness and insights into why these situations occur. I utilize a variety of different modalities, and have training in areas such as CBT, DBT, BSFT, Narrative, Trauma, and Attachment.

When should I seek treatment for ADHD?

You should seek treatment for ADHD if you consistently have difficulty with attention, hyperactivity, or impulsivity that interferes with your daily life. Symptoms of ADHD include the inability to sustain attention during tasks, difficulty organizing tasks and activities, being easily distracted, frequent fidgeting or squirming, and talking or interrupting excessively. If these symptoms interfere with your career, academics, or relationships—for example, consistently failing to complete professional projects on time—you should seek an evaluation for ADHD.

How does treatment for ADHD work?

Effective treatment for ADHD often consists of medication, behavioral therapy, and lifestyle changes. Stimulant medications such as Adderall and Ritalin work by altering levels of neurotransmitters in the brain; higher levels of dopamine and norepinephrine are known to improve attention and focus. Therapy works by helping people with ADHD understand the condition, discuss their areas of difficulty, and develop behavioral strategies to manage their symptoms. In some cases, modifying one’s diet and exercise can also help improve symptoms.

Are there specific medications for ADHD?

Medications to treat ADHD are generally stimulants, the most common are Adderall and Ritalin. There are two categories of stimulants: Amphetamines include Adderall, Dyanavel, Vyvanse, and Dexedrine, and methylphenidates include Ritalin, Concerta, Daytrana, Focalin, Quillichew, Quillivant, and Metadate. Non-stimulants and antidepressants may be used as an alternative if stimulants aren’t effective or viable for a particular patient.

How long does treatment for ADHD take?

It’s tough to give an exact time frame because everyone varies. In terms of medications, stimulants begin to work very soon after you take them, generally within the hour. It may take time to identify the right medication and dosage, but the medication itself is fast-acting. In terms of therapy, it takes time to develop skills and put them into practice, but you will likely see improvements within a few weeks or months.
