You may be intelligent, capable, and self-aware, yet still feel stressed, stuck, or caught in patterns you can’t seem to shift. You might struggle with anxiety, overthinking, habits, sleep, or a quiet sense that things shouldn’t feel this hard. What you’re looking for isn’t more advice or effort—it’s a way forward that feels clearer, simpler, and less exhausting.

Something feels off in your relationship, or maybe within yourself, and you are not quite sure how to name it. Perhaps intimacy has become strained, communication keeps breaking down, or you are carrying something privately that feels too heavy to hold alone. Whether you are navigating sexual health concerns, relationship challenges, anxiety, low mood, or the lasting impact of past trauma, you deserve a space where nothing is off limits and nothing is met with judgment. Many people wait a very long time before finally reaching out, and that is okay. You do not have to have the words yet, or even know exactly where to begin.

Let’s get to the root of your triggers. We cannot thrive when our nervous system remains trapped in patterns of fear, self-protective walls and the echoes of the past! Chronic tension, anxiety & trauma disrupt our sense of safety, trust, and control in the world. It can leave us feeling isolated, disconnected, and caught in a painful cycle where old wounds continue to shape new relationships. Root-cause therapy focuses on resolving the unprocessed experiences that fuel these patterns. By healing at the source, you can neutralize fears, soften long-held insecurities, release old wounds, and live with greater freedom and connection.

Some of what you carry was handed to you: the anxiety, the silence, the need to hold everything together. Therapy is where you get to decide what you keep and what ends with you. Maybe you grew up in a home where emotions were not safe to express, or where you had to become an adult long before you were ready. Now the old patterns keep showing up, in your relationships, your work, the way you speak to yourself, and no amount of doing everything right seems to quiet them. You do not need the perfect words to start. You just need a space where the whole story is finally allowed.

You grew up in a house where two worlds lived under one roof, and you learned early how to move between them. You translated for your parents, kept the peace at family gatherings, and figured out on your own what nobody had the words to explain. Now you are an adult, maybe still living at home, maybe in a relationship where your partner gets some of it but not all of it, and the weight of holding it all is starting to show. I offer therapy in English, Tamil, and French, so some things do not have to be translated at all.

Weiss).I'm passionate about my work and will work to help you tackle life's challenges that fit your lifestyle and goals for therapeutic change. If you're having trouble expressing your emotions, maintaining healthy relationships, or moving on from a past experience, then I want to offer you some extra support. The past two years have been especially taxing for all of us, leaving many of us feeling stalled in our previous trajectories, and perhaps struggling to navigate the financial, emotional, and mental challenges that have emerged. This can make it feel like reaching your potential is less achievable. I use a culturally sensitive, collaborative, and client-centered approach to therapy that seeks to establish an environment of stability, trust, safety, and non-judgement.

Have you ever felt like “just getting by” has become your default setting? Like you’re living in survival mode...functioning on the outside, but carrying an invisible weight that no one else can see? Maybe you’ve spent years being the strong one, all while feeling alone, exhausted, or disconnected. Chronic stress, trauma, and toxic relationships don’t just leave emotional wounds, they rewire how we feel safety, build closeness, and self-protect from pain. They can leave us feeling stuck: frozen, shut down, or constantly on edge. And while your past may shape your story, it doesn’t have to write your future.

How do therapists treat sexual abuse?
A good therapist will be nonjudgmental and possibly demonstrate active listening, repeating back what the client says to show that they have understood. These skills allow people to feel comfortable discussing their traumatic experiences openly. Some important treatment goals are to restore a sense of safety and to rebuild confidence. In addition to working one-on-one with the patient, a therapist might bring in supportive family members to assist the client.
Do you have to talk extensively about sexual abuse in therapy?
Survivors frequently find it difficult to describe what happened to them out loud. They can even still be in a state of denial if the sexual abuse occurred recently. It is important for survivors to acknowledge that what happened isn’t their fault and to challenge and reappraise any unhealthy feelings or thoughts as they arise. Art therapy and play therapy are useful non-verbal means of communication for some survivors.
How long does treatment for sexual abuse take?
Recovery from sexual abuse can be a long and difficult process. Some survivors are able to move on naturally on their own, given time, while others require the guidance of a trained therapist. Therapy needs vary and can range from a few sessions to months or even years. Healing from sexual abuse takes time, and everyone’s journey will look a little different.
Can trauma symptoms caused by sexual abuse come back after treatment?
As occurs in many cases of trauma, survivors of sexual abuse may experience PTSD-like symptoms long after the abuse has ceased or after an initial round of treatment has occurred. In such a case, there is evidence that prolonged exposure therapy is a useful treatment for survivors, and may be more efficacious than supportive counseling alone. While triggers may continue to cause distress, the idea is that, with time and repeated exposure, their power will fade, allowing survivors to move on with their lives.
