I follow a client-centered approach that is rooted in a sincere and heartfelt respect for the painful reality of personal and relational struggles, trauma and mental illness; the courage and strength it takes to confront and work with these challenges; and the potential that lies in each of us to transcend these struggles. I do so with empathy, compassion, and gentle encouragement to keep moving toward a more positive experience of self and others.
At this stage in my training I do not adhere to a specific treatment modality. My work is guided by a client's struggles, goals and choices, and informed by approaches that support clients to experience themselves fully, believe in their potential, and to learn how to transform this potential into their reality.
I believe that healing is possible when we begin to truly connect with ourselves in a way that supports us to feel safe in the world; to love, respect and value ourselves; and to experience ourselves as impactful in our relationships and our lives. Therapy is a place in which to connect with and nurture this experience of ourselves.
