If you’re feeling overwhelmed by anxiety, weighed down by depression, or struggling with the impact of past experiences, I’m here to help.
Using a mind-body approach, I help clients understand how emotional pain can manifest physically and guide them toward holistic healing—mentally, emotionally, and physically. Together, we’ll focus on managing anxiety and reducing overwhelm; building resilience, or moving forward with whatever it is that has you "stuck" and unable to live a fulfilling life.

I work alongside individuals struggling with depression, anxiety, self-esteem, relationship issues, couple, parenting, family, grief and loss, effective communication, cultural differences, anger management, Christian counselling, stress, trauma, and work issues.
My passion for Psychotherapy is deeply rooted in my upbringing. As a child, I loved helping people around me and engaging in charitable activities. Few years ago I decided that I wanted to do more, by be apart of the change in people's lives. Over the years, I have had the pleasure of seeing couples and individuals explore and discovered their best selves. I work through a client-centered approach where my clients are able to actively take the lead during each therapy session, while I act mainly as a guide or a source of support for them. Together, we are able to develop new skills and achieve their therapeutic goals.

But lately the fights go in circles, or the anxiety hums all day, or you feel more like roommates than partners, or you lie awake wondering when you stopped feeling like yourself.
In a space that feels more like a living room than a clinic, because it basically is one. No white walls, no clipboards, no proper language required. Just two humans on a couch keeping it real. Kick your shoes off, grab a coffee, and swear if you need to. Bring your best day or darkest thought—there's zero judgment here.

Does it feel like you haven’t been yourself lately? Do you have a hard time saying ‘no’ to others? Are you struggling to create the change you want, but not sure where (or how) to start? Are things from your past keeping you ‘stuck’, and you want to reclaim your life? We all have had things happen to us or have things about ourselves that we wish we could change. Sometimes, we develop thinking or behavioural patterns that helped us through hard times, but you may be noticing these thoughts or behaviours no longer benefit you in the same way they used to. Often we aren’t even aware of what cycles we are stuck in!

Maybe you're trying to figure out who you are, what you want, and why relationships can feel so complicated. You might overthink everything, struggle with boundaries, question your worth, or find yourself repeating patterns you know aren't working. Maybe you understand some of why you feel this way, but knowing why hasn't actually helped you change it. You don't have to have it all figured out before coming to therapy — figuring it out together is kind of the point. My approach is warm, laid-back and conversational. I'm not a therapist who will just sit back, nod, and leave you wondering what I'm thinking!

When was the last time you felt like you could really stop and breathe? You may be used to holding everything together, showing up, and getting things done, while feeling lonely inside, caught in your own thoughts, or unsure who you're becoming. These feelings can emerge during immigration, while adapting to a new culture and language, after a loss, or through major shifts in relationships or career. Life may be moving forward while you wonder why you no longer feel like yourself or where you belong. Therapy is a space to slow down, make sense of what you are carrying, and move through it together, without judgment.

Whether your concern is of an individual or an interpersonal nature, involves a couple, family or other form/model of relationship, we can work together, through dialogue, to explore challenging situations and find opportunities for growth. My approach in therapy is client centered. Although I focus on the client(s) in the session, I keep in mind that every person is part of several larger systems. I maintain an awareness of systemic influences, and of power dynamics in relationships. I will work with you toward your goals. I am committed to being neutral and judgement free. I embrace diversity and human rights.

When should I seek treatment for anxiety?
Everyone feels anxious at times, but when anxiety causes disruption to your daily life, it may be time to seek help. Such disruption can be mental, physical, or both: having fear dominate your thoughts, avoiding situations or objects that bring on feelings of anxiety, or experiencing shortness of breath, sweating, dizziness, or panic attacks. When these symptoms are recurrent and distressing, it may be time to talk to someone.

What are the most common types of treatment for anxiety?
Talk therapy, particularly cognitive behavioural therapy, is the most common treatment for anxiety. Studies have shown it is equally effective as medication. Other forms of therapy are popular, depending on a patient’s experience. Exposure therapy, for instance, can be useful for people dealing with fears and phobias, or who have experienced traumatic events. Dialectical Behavioural Therapy may be useful for patients who need help with emotion regulation. Anxiolytic medications, like benzodiazepines, can also help with calming a person enough to focus on the skills they’ve learned, and physical exercise has been shown to help symptoms of anxiety across the board.

How long does therapy for anxiety take to work?
The amount of time needed to alleviate symptoms depends on the severity of a person’s condition. Some therapies may take 5-20 weekly sessions to show results. Anti-depressant medications typically take two to four weeks before a benefit is felt. Anti-anxiety medications are felt typically within 20-30 minutes. Medications are best used to offer a patient a better headspace in which to work on techniques learned in therapy. Exercise, improved sleep habits, and meditation are effective, but takes weeks or months to show results.

How effective is treatment for anxiety?
Treatment for anxiety has been shown to be moderately to highly effective, according to a large body of psychology studies and analyses. For some people, treatment using CBT or exposure therapy alone is effective. Others respond best to a combination of medication and therapy.
