With over 17 years of clinical experience, I help people understand the deeper roots of what they’re struggling with, not just manage symptoms. I specialize in trauma, relationship dynamics, attachment patterns, and the mind-body connection, working with individuals, couples, and families across the lifespan. My approach is active, insight-oriented, and grounded in evidence-based therapy. I help clients recognize patterns, regulate their nervous systems, process unresolved experiences, and create meaningful, lasting change in a space that is both supportive and clinically focused.

Stuck in survival mode? It sucks but it doesn’t have to stay that way.
Living in fight, flight, or freeze mode drains your energy, hijacks your relationships, and makes therapy feel like a never-ending cycle. That’s not your fault, but it also doesn’t have to be your future. Trauma doesn’t get to run the show forever. EMDR is a proven, research-backed approach that goes straight to the root of the pain instead of dancing around it. My work is about cutting through all the noise, helping your brain process what happened, and finally getting you out of survival mode so that you may actually start living.

Typically, we will map out the behaviours and dynamics that are not working, deepen our acceptance and understanding of the other person, and learn to enact a new story that works to meet your needs.
Are you overwhelmed by your emotional experience? Feel like your mind is always racing, like there is always more you need to do? And yet feeling no motivation to do anything? Are you feeling disconnected in your relationship, navigating stressful times, stuck in a cycle of never-ending arguments?
Maybe you're feeling this way about a life transition, work, family or relational issues, student stress, or something else - I want to empower you to manage these experiences. With couples I want to help you turn towards each other to build safety and connection to help you repair, and thrive in your relationship.

My approach is integrative, personalized, and collaborative, primarily using CBT to reassess thoughts and behaviours, and ACT to align actions with values.
If you have ever felt uncertain about therapy, I offer a space that meets you where you are and makes room for whichever version of yourself shows up that day.
I recognize that not everyone feels comfortable reaching out for support, especially those who have been taught to push through, stay strong, or handle things alone. These are the people I feel most drawn to working with. Whether it is teens who have shut down, men who were never given permission to feel, or women who carry everything and feel unseen in the process, I offer a space that is straightforward, respectful, and grounded in real life connection.

Are you overwhelmed by your own emotions, stuck in repeating patterns, or maybe you react in ways that feel foreign to you? Has anxiety, past experiences, a difficult psychedelic experience, relationship struggles, or burnout been making it hard to stay grounded and connected. I work with adults who want to better understand themselves and create lasting change, not just manage symptoms. I also help adults make sense of their psychedelic experiences. Together we will gently explore the roots of what you are carrying so you can feel calmer, more confident, and more in control of your life and relationships.

Acceptance and Commitment (ACT) Counsellors
How does acceptance and commitment therapy work?
Acceptance and Commitment Therapy encourages a person to listen to their self-talk. A person’s inner dialog can be indicative of how they treat themselves. ACT also encourages self-compassion; this can lead to a better understanding of negative thought patterns and emotional states. This understanding can then lead the individual to needed behavior change.
What are the goals of acceptance and commitment therapy?
The goal of acceptance and commitment is to expand a person’s psychological flexibility, a trait that encourages an individual to live in the present moment and to accept all their thoughts, feelings, and emotions, even ones that are difficult such as sadness and anxiety. In ACT, this acceptance is congruent with the individual’s values and beliefs.
Does acceptance and commitment therapy work for depression?
Acceptance and commitment therapy is effective for depression because it allows the individual to view their discomfort and suffering differently. Depressive feelings about relationship heartaches, for example, are a part of life. A despondent person learns to let go of their struggles and instead view their painful thoughts and feelings with compassion. This will lead the individual toward positive change.
How long are people typically in acceptance and commitment therapy?
A typical acceptance and commitment therapy session is 50 minutes long with one session per week. Treatment for common problems such as anxiety, depression, or relationship difficulties can last between eight weeks to four months. However, more severe cases may require more than one session a week and/or a longer time frame for treatment.
