You know that feeling right after the rain — when the air softens, the world smells like earth, and everything feels a little more possible again? That’s petrichor. And that’s the experience I hope therapy can offer you: a gentle clearing, a way back to yourself, and a space where new growth can take root. I’m Ragini Suresh, MA, RP, RSW, and I work with adults who feel overwhelmed, burnt out, disconnected, or unsure where to go next. Many of the people I support are navigating anxiety, identity changes, interpersonal difficulties, life transitions, or the quiet heaviness that comes from carrying too much for too long.

I am a Jungian Psychoanalyst offering Jungian Analysis to individuals who want a deeper understanding of themselves. For many reasons, these persons feel emotionally in pain, conflicted or unbalanced in their inner and/or outer life and would benefit from exploring the deep rooted causes of relationship problems and unproductive emotional patterns. The direction of therapy is to look to the past and to the unconscious determinants of behaviour but also to open to the creative and positive movements of the psyche that offer a way forward even in the face of the greatest difficulties or trauma.

Accepting new clients. I work with clients with anxiety, depression, trauma/PTSD, 2SLGBTQ+ identities, and neurodivergence. If you feel trapped in the same patterns and feel frustrated or disconnected to yourself, then it makes sense why you're looking for support. Maybe you wonder why taking care of your own needs feels selfish or impossible, and you might even struggle to understand what those needs are in the first place. This is a barrier worth exploring, and you don't have to figure it out alone.

When the people who were supposed to protect you caused harm—or failed to stop it—your nervous system learned to survive instead of feel safe. Many clients come to therapy feeling overwhelmed, shut down, or constantly on edge. If you grew up where emotions weren’t safe, boundaries were violated, or your needs were ignored, you may struggle with self-sabotaging behaviors, emotional numbness, or intense shame. These are common effects of childhood trauma, emotional neglect, and nervous system dysregulation. As a trauma therapist, I support clients healing from childhood sexual trauma, CPTSD, attachment trauma, and narcissistic abuse.

As a child psychotherapist, my approach involves keen observation of a child's play, drawings, words, and behavior. Through this process, I help children verbalize the thoughts and emotions underlying their challenging behaviors. I tailor my methods to each individual child or family, ensuring an age-appropriate approach. Maintaining a neutral and non-directive stance, I create an atmosphere where children and adolescents feel free to express themselves without fear of punishment or rejection. This fosters trust and understanding, allowing them to communicate their hopes and fears ultimately shaping their perception of the world.

No matter what you do, nothing seems to change. That’s because trauma doesn’t live in your thoughts—it lives in your body. Real healing comes when we go deeper than talking. EMDR helps people process what’s been stuck for years: painful memories, negative beliefs, & survival responses that never turned off. I’ve seen people from all walks of life finally gain real traction—sometimes for the first time in years. Pain can stem from childhood, a specific event, or a lifetime of pushing through, but you don’t have to stay stuck. There is a life out there for you with more hope, energy, and resilience. Please book a consultation!

Psychosis Counsellors
What’s the most effective treatment for psychosis?
The most effective treatment for psychosis is coordinated specialty care. In this model, a team of professionals works with a patient to address all aspects of the underlying disorder. This approach incorporates individual or group therapy, employment and education support, family support and education, medication management (which often involves low doses of antipsychotics), and case management to facilitate problem-solving as needed.

When should people seek treatment for psychosis?
People should seek immediate treatment at the earliest indication of psychosis. Symptoms include delusions, hallucinations, disorganized or blocked speech, and agitated body movements. Early signs that a person may be developing a disorder that will lead to psychosis include suspiciousness of others, memory problems and distractibility, an inability to think clearly, rapid or nonsensical speech, withdrawal from friends or family, aggression toward others, and sensitivity to bright lights or noises.

What if psychosis is left untreated?
Without treatment, psychosis can have significant repercussions, including injuries, job loss, homelessness, financial or legal trouble, ruptured relationships, and suffering for the person and their family. While early treatment for psychosis often yields the best results, there is no point past which it becomes useless to seek treatment. At any point, treatment can make a difference.

How do I get someone else to seek treatment for psychosis?
It’s extremely difficult to watch a loved one suffer from hallucinations, delusions, and other elements of psychosis—sometimes exacerbated by their fears of treatment. Have a conversation with them in a quiet space and maintain a calm, supportive tone. Share your concerns about behaviors you’ve observed, suggest treatment, and explain the potential benefits. Listen carefully to their responses. The person may not be ready after one conversation, but with time, they may come around.
