I draw on EMDR, CBT, DBT, ERP for OCD, psychodynamic, and relational therapy to help you stabilize, regulate, and heal.
Life doesn't always go according to plan, and sometimes it falls apart entirely. Using EMDR and other evidence-based approaches, I help adults find their footing through infidelity, grief, separation, and identity shifts. I work with clients managing bipolar disorder, OCD, CPTSD, PTSD, and relational issues, offering a space that meets you with honesty and zero judgment. I also provide sex therapy, exploring desire, intimacy, communication, and sexual functioning, and support couples through ENM, relational repair, and everything in between. You deserve care that sees all of you.

I practice from a trauma-informed, integrative lens, drawing from humanistic, Psychodynamic, DBT, Emotion-Focused, and holistic frameworks.
My ideal clients are people in the middle of change- a transition that has left them feeling anxious, lost, or unsure of who they are. Maybe there's conflict in a relationship, or a quieter conflict stirring within themselves that they haven't been able to name yet. They come searching for clarity, but what they often find first is simply relief; the relief of feeling truly seen and less alone, in a safe space where nothing is off-limits and judgment has no place. Together, we slow down, explore, and gently reconnect you with yourself: one honest conversation at a time.

The years around menopause can feel like your body and mind stopped following the old rules. Sleep that no longer comes easily, moods that swing without warning, anxiety or low feelings arriving out of nowhere, and a quiet sense that you no longer quite recognize yourself. On top of it all you may be holding a career, a family, and aging parents, wondering why no one talks about how much this passage can ask of you.

I share a common human experience with my clients and appreciate our journeys. Maybe you're considering therapy to connect with someone non-judgmental and outside your personal support system; you're feeling uneasy or worrying about life; you're withdrawing from others and no longer find joy and pleasure; substance use or a habitual behaviour is getting in the way of meaningful relationships and meeting life’s challenges; or you experienced a major event in your life and you're feeling overwhelmed. We will endeavour to understand these challenges and I will support you in taking steps that would benefit you.

Psychodynamic Counsellors
Is psychodynamic therapy evidence-based?
Studies have found psychodynamic therapy to be effective in treating conditions like social anxiety, eating disorders, chronic pain, some personality disorders, and depression; indeed, some studies have found it to be just as effective as CBT or medication. What’s more, several studies have found that the benefits of psychodynamic therapy tend to endure—even grow—long after treatment has ended.

How long does psychodynamic therapy last?
Unlike CBT and other more structured forms of therapy, psychodynamic therapy tends to be open-ended and may not be limited to a set number of sessions. It is common for clients to be in therapy for a year or longer and to see their therapist one to three times a week, though the exact schedule and timeline may vary depending on a client’s challenges and progress. However, brief psychodynamic therapy is available, which tends to be more goal-oriented and typically unfolds over 16 to 30 sessions.

Does psychodynamic therapy work?
Research finds that psychodynamic therapy can help someone manage or reduce symptoms of diagnosable mental health conditions like depression or anxiety. The modality may also offer a range of benefits that are harder to measure but just as valuable—such as increased self-worth or healthier relationships. While no therapy type will work for everyone, research and anecdotal evidence suggest that psychodynamic therapy can be highly effective.

What are the limitations of psychodynamic therapy?
Some meta-analyses have concluded that there is little evidence to suggest that psychodynamic therapy can effectively treat certain mental health conditions such as PTSD, OCD, or psychosis, though it is sometimes used to do so. More broadly, the open-ended, free-association structure of psychodynamic therapy may be frustrating for clients who prefer a more structured, time-limited, or goal-oriented approach.
