Now accepting clients in Vaughan and North York. I feel alone. I am scared and hurting and no one understands. I feel so overwhelmed or sometimes I feel nothing. I can't stop my intrusive thoughts. I am stuck and I don't know what to do. These are common statements that I hear from clients all the time. Stress, anxiety, depression, and emotion dysregulation are common issues that so many of us are dealing with. I believe that you feel alone and that no one can help you. You desperately want help and support. I think you are here because you want to share your story and be vulnerable. I am a safe space and I want to hear your story.

Life’s challenges can bring up waves of anxiety, self-doubt, or disconnection from yourself, your purpose, or even the people around you. Whether you're healing from past wounds, moving through a major transition, or feeling called to redefine who you are, you don’t have to navigate it alone. Therapy is a collaborative process. Together, we’ll help you access your inner strength, slow down, listen inward, and tend to the parts of you that may have been overlooked or silenced for too long. We’ll help you access your inner strength and move forward with intention, authenticity, and self-trust. I’d be honoured to walk alongside you.

My work focuses on moving beyond just "functioning" and toward genuine healing. Clients often come in carrying more than symptoms, anxiety, depression, or trauma — they’re carrying the feeling of being disconnected from who they are and what they want their life to stand for. A core part of my approach is helping you reconnect with your values and build the resilience to live a life you want despite your traumas or any self-critical voice. My goal is to weave together mindfulness, somatic, and practical CBT/DBT skills to strengthen the parts of you that are ready to move forward.

“We are not human beings having a spiritual experience. We are spiritual beings having a human experience.” -Pierre Teilhard de Chardin. I believe that every person has inherent worth and is on a journey of healing, growth, and love. We all come with our own challenges and strengths. However, there may have been things that have made life not okay for you and that has brought on a layer of challenges that are heavy to hold alone. My commitment is to meet individuals, couples, and families in their process of making sense of the mysteries and difficulties in which we find ourselves and to offer encouragement, comfort, and hope.

It's hard when you feel like you don't understand what is wrong with your loved one, and all you want to do is help. Perhaps more often than not, you struggle and/or feel frustrated and can't communicate without you and/or the other person becoming upset, and it feels hopeless trying to figure out how to fix the problem. During such difficult times, know that you're not alone, that your feelings are valid, and there is hope for things to change for the better.

You heal most in therapy when you feel seen, safe and understood. When the relationship feels real, not just with techniques and worksheets. That’s why the relationship between you and your therapist matters so much. I’m not just here with credentials... I get what it’s like to look strong on the outside while feeling like you’re falling apart inside.

Female Counsellors
Does it matter what gender my therapist is?
In general, there is no relationship between a therapist’s gender and their efficacy. Some clients, however, prefer to see therapists of a particular gender, whether due to their own past experiences with men and women, or because they feel more comfortable with a therapist of their own gender due to shared life experiences or perspectives. Considering what one wants to address in therapy can help someone determine whether their therapist’s gender may matter or improve their therapeutic experience. The most important consideration is that a client is able to build a trusting relationship with their therapist.

Should I see a female therapist?
Many people—not just women—prefer to see a female therapist. For women, this could be because they believe that they will be able to better connect with a woman, and that a female therapist will be able to relate to their specific challenges and personal issues. It may be particularly beneficial for women to see a female therapist, for example, for gender-specific issues, such as sexism in the workplace, relationship issues, and gender roles. The most important factor in therapy is the client-therapist connection, and a therapist's gender as well as many other factors may play an important role in this.

Do therapists get specific training to help with women’s concerns?
Therapists are trained to provide care to clients of any gender. However, some therapists may pursue additional training in feminist therapy, gender-specific issues, or women’s mental health. Female clients may wish to ask prospective therapists whether they have received specific training in the client’s primary area(s) of concern, or whether they have worked extensively with women on issues similar to their own.

How can I inquire about a therapist’s experience in treating women?
It’s OK—even encouraged!—to ask a therapist directly whether and how often they have treated women in the past, or whether they have treated women dealing with the client’s most prominent concern(s). Competent therapists will be happy to share their educational background, preferred treatment modalities, and prior client experience to help an individual find the therapist best suited to their needs.
