I also specialize in acceptance and commitment therapy, existentialism therapy, dialectical behaviour therapy and Internal family systems.
Finding the right therapist can be a long and difficult process, however, it is crucial to find a therapist that can understand, accept and support you. What I offer to my clients is a safe, non- judgemental and confidential environment where they can gain a greater insight on their core strengths and values to help them achieve their therapeutic goals. As someone who was faced with challenges such as ADHD, having a brother with Autism, etc. I can relate to my clients on a more personal level and with this experience I can help you navigate through these tough times. I enjoy working with teenagers, adults, couples, refugees etc.

Trauma can profoundly alter how we view ourselves, others, and the world. You might feel guilty, ashamed or overwhelmed thinking of your past experiences. It’s common to find it hard to trust others and to feel anxious about the safety of the world around you. You may be grappling with your identity, feeling disconnected from yourself, or overwhelmed by emotions. Despite the challenges you encounter, my goal is to ensure you feel not only supported but truly understood, acknowledged, and empowered.

My work is trauma-informed and integrative, drawing from approaches such as Gottman Method, Internal Family Systems (IFS), DBT, ACT, Brainspotting and EMDR to support deep healing and meaningful relational change.
You may struggle with anxiety, overthinking, ADHD, perfectionism, grief, or painful relationship patterns. Many of my clients feel stuck in people-pleasing, emotional exhaustion, or cycles with emotionally unavailable partners. Some are healing from childhood trauma, parental wounds, cultural or religious pressure, or domestic violence. You may want healthier relationships, stronger boundaries, relief from constant mental noise, and a deeper sense of self. I work with adults and couples seeking trauma-informed therapy in Vaughan, Mississauga, or online therapy to build emotional safety, clarity, and fulfilling relationships.

I use a variety of therapeutic styles: DBT, CBT, internal family systems, emotion focused therapy, acceptance and commitment therapy, motivational interviewing, harm-reduction, brief solution focused therapy and the triphasic model of trauma therapy.
I share a common human experience with my clients and appreciate our journeys. Maybe you're considering therapy to connect with someone non-judgmental and outside your personal support system; you're feeling uneasy or worrying about life; you're withdrawing from others and no longer find joy and pleasure; substance use or a habitual behaviour is getting in the way of meaningful relationships and meeting life’s challenges; or you experienced a major event in your life and you're feeling overwhelmed. We will endeavour to understand these challenges and I will support you in taking steps that would benefit you.

I integrate EMDR, Somatic Therapy, and Internal Family Systems (IFS) to help women heal the effects of chronic stress and trauma.
I am an EMDR therapist specializing in trauma therapy for women, working with chronic stress, anxiety, and the enduring impacts of complex trauma (CPTSD). Much of my work centres on women who feel caught between staying and leaving in their relationships, helping them make sense of what’s happening internally so their decisions come from clarity rather than survival patterns.

You heal most in therapy when you feel seen, safe and understood. When the relationship feels real, not just with techniques and worksheets. That’s why the relationship between you and your therapist matters so much. I’m not just here with credentials... I get what it’s like to look strong on the outside while feeling like you’re falling apart inside.

Family Therapy Counsellors
What do family therapists do?
A family therapist facilitates the process of understanding and improving how a family functions. The therapist will help family members develop empathy for one another. They’ll seek to understand existing patterns, misunderstandings, and conflicts that arise, in order to help the family arrive at a realistic, unified understanding and develop the coping skills they need to build stronger relationships.

How long does therapy for families take to work?
Therapy manifests differently in every family; a common time frame is 12 weekly sessions, but some families may see improvement after just a few weeks. Families should discuss their goals with the therapist at the beginning of the process and periodically revisit those goals to assess their progress together.

How can you encourage a family member to attend family therapy?
You can encourage family members to attend therapy by expressing with both love and concern the challenges you see and explaining how a therapist could help the family navigate those challenges together. An outside perspective can help everyone feel heard, get on the same page, and develop new skills. If family members are still hesitant, it may be helpful to emphasize that family therapy is short-term—it won’t last forever.

Is therapy for families effective?
Family therapy can significantly improve family dynamics and relationships. Research suggests that family therapy can help individuals understand their role in the family, communicate and solve problems together, reduce conflict and draw boundaries when necessary, and develop coping skills for stressors, major life changes, and mental or physical illnesses within the family.
