I am on the side of you that is working towards what is best for you. What’s different about my approach? We’ll address the problem that brought you here, and then shift the focus to what you want instead. Together, we’ll explore the times when the problem has less influence, highlight what’s already working well, and build on your existing strengths and resources. This approach allows us to move beyond simply talking about difficulties and instead create practical steps toward change. My goal is to help you notice progress quickly and feel confident moving forward, so you can live the life you’re meant to live.

You may find yourself constantly overthinking, questioning your decisions, or carrying the weight of everyone else's expectations while neglecting your own. Many of the people I work with feel anxious, emotionally exhausted, stuck in self-doubt, or caught in patterns of people-pleasing, perfectionism, or difficult relationships. Together, we'll work to better understand these patterns, build self-awareness, and help you move toward lasting, meaningful change.

I work with adults who feel overwhelmed, anxious, stuck, or disconnected from themselves and their lives. You may find your mind constantly racing, replaying conversations, worrying about the future, or struggling to switch off and relax, even in moments meant to feel calm. Others feel unmotivated, emotionally drained, or like they are simply going through the motions each day. Many reach out when life feels heavier than it should. Therapy offers a supportive space to slow down, reconnect with yourself, strengthen relationships, and begin moving forward with greater clarity and confidence again.

I help women experiencing chronic stress, anxiety, burnout, and emotional overwhelm. Many appear high-functioning on the outside but feel stuck in survival mode—overthinking, people-pleasing, carrying too much responsibility, and struggling to fully relax. I also support first responders and women navigating high-conflict relationships, separation, or narcissistic relationship dynamics. Through trauma-informed therapy, we work together to heal the effects of stress and trauma, helping you feel more grounded, confident, and connected to yourself.

Are you feeling overwhelmed by intense emotions, stuck in painful relationship patterns, or navigating a life transition that has left you feeling lost or disconnected? You might struggle with anxiety, depression, grief, or emotional reactivity that feels hard to control or explain. In relationships, communication may break down quickly, leading to conflict, distance, or trust issues — even when you care deeply. You may be looking for a space where you can speak openly, feel understood, and begin making sense of what’s happening.

Even when life appears “together,” you carry more than others can see. You might be navigating grief, past trauma, family conflict, anxiety, recurring relationship patterns, or major life transitions while continuing to meet expectations and hold responsibilities. I work with women who want to understand why they feel the way they do, while also learning coping strategies, processing experiences, and exploring tools like cognitive reframing, reprocessing, and parts work. We focus on deepening your connection with yourself and the people you care about. Our work together is relational, guided by your needs, capacity, and goals.

***ACCEPTING NEW CLIENTS: IN-PERSON & PHONE/VIDEO*** We believe that there is good in every person, and hope in every situation. We have helped individuals, couples, and families heal, grow, and connect. As relational therapists, we appreciate the impact that our relationships have on our well-being. We do not see clients as having something wrong with their minds that necessarily needs to be fixed. Rather, we see our clients as unique individuals, each with their own stories and perspectives, embedded in important relationships and contexts that impact them. We see strengths and we see hope, even when it feels like there is none.

Attachment-based Counsellors
Is attachment-based therapy the same as attachment therapy?
Attachment-based therapy may be confused with what is called “attachment therapy” (sometimes called “holding therapy”), a discredited and dangerous approach to treating children with attachment disorders, autism, or other mental health concerns. Attachment therapy—not attachment-based therapy—may involve restraining a child, forcing eye contact, and other coercive or abusive techniques. None of these practices are used in attachment-based therapy and the two modalities are in no way related.

What should I expect from attachment-based therapy?
Attachment-based therapy is based on attachment theory, which posits that children’s early relationships with their caregivers strongly influence their ability to navigate the world later in life. Thus, adults who seek attachment-based therapy should expect to deeply explore their childhood, identifying the dynamics or experiences that disrupted their attachment and the steps necessary to overcome challenges that arose as a result. Parents and children should expect to explore the possible factors that disrupted the parent-child relationship and work toward restoring trust and connection.

How long does attachment-based therapy last?
Certain forms of attachment-based therapy, especially those designed for parents and children, last for a set number of sessions; for example, Attachment and Biobehavioral Catch-Up, a specific attachment-based approach for young children who have undergone early adversity, unfolds over 10 one-hour sessions. When attachment-based therapy is practiced on adults or combined with other modalities, it may not last a specific length of time; clients may wish to ask prospective therapists how long they expect treatment to take.

Does attachment-based therapy work?
Most of the research on attachment-based therapy focuses on children and adolescents. Some of this research shows a positive effect, especially for attachment-based family therapy (ABFT). Other studies, however, have found that attachment-based therapy is no more effective than other approaches to childhood depression, anxiety, or suicidality. Less is known about the therapy’s efficacy on adult populations.
