I work with children ages 7 and up, teens, and adults navigating eating disorders, anxiety, depression, ADHD, emotion regulation, relationship difficulties, and big life transitions.

I offer ACT-based individual therapy for youth and adults, and Gottman-informed relationship counselling for all relationship structures.
Many of the people I work with have spent a long time managing on their own before reaching out. They might be navigating anxiety, depression, low self-esteem, big life transitions, or questions around identity, intimacy, and relationships. Some are neurodivergent — diagnosed, self-identified, or still figuring it out. Some are queer, trans, or questioning. Some are couples or non-monogamous partners trying to find their way back to each other.
What they share is a sense that something has to change — and the courage to take one small step toward that.

You’re feeling lonely and misunderstood. Disconnected from yourself. You crave connection and intimacy, but relationships can feel scary. Showing up authentically, with yourself or others, feels too threatening. With all the division in the world, you're struggling to find hope or rest. If any of this resonates, you’re in the right place. I know starting therapy can feel intimidating, and finding a therapist you truly click with can make all the difference. If you’re looking for someone who genuinely understands, can bring warmth and humour to sessions, and isn’t afraid to challenge you when needed, we might be a good fit.

My work is rooted in deep empathy, cultural humility, and an unwavering belief in the resilience of the people. I carry with me not just academic and clinical training, but the privilege of having journeyed alongside people through some of the most vulnerable and transformative moments of their lives. I do not see you as a problem to be fixed, but a person with stories to be held, pain to be witnessed, and strengths to be
illuminated. My ability to meet people where they are—with authenticity, compassion, and curiosity—is a quality I have nurtured over years of practice.

You're doing everything "right"- but still feel numb. You try so hard yet still don’t feel good enough for your family, or your boss. You want to find your way back to yourself, the version of you that you have been pushing away for years in order to survive. It may have been hard to be authentically yourself, in a world that continues to promote conformity over individuality. You want a space where you can be emotional, creative and unapologetic. A space where your story will be told, and where you don’t have to be perfect.

EMDR trauma therapist. Are you struggling with anxiety, low mood, anger, relationship conflict, or unhealthy coping patterns that leave you feeling overwhelmed or disconnected? Perhaps you find yourself stuck in cycles of emotional reactivity, avoidance, substance use, overeating, self-criticism, or difficulty communicating with the people you care about most. These patterns often develop as ways of coping with stress, pain, or past experiences—but over time, they can begin to impact our relationships, sense of self, and overall well-being.

I help individuals, including teens, and couples uncover patterns, reclaim their voice, and move from merely coping to truly thriving.
Are you holding everything together on the outside, but inside you feel like you're unraveling?
You may be the one everyone counts on — the caregiver, the achiever, the one who keeps the family, the team, or the relationship afloat. But lately, you’re exhausted. You find yourself overwhelmed, anxious, frustrated, or just plain stuck. Maybe you’re grieving, wrestling with old wounds, or trying to manage the weight of being “strong” for too long. You want to feel more connected, more in control, and more like yourself again.
I offer a grounded, compassionate space to explore what’s underneath your struggles to better understand you.

As human beings, we evolved listening to each other’s stories. This is how we heal, by connecting with each other. In fact, I know this is true: I grew up in a traumatic and addicted family system, and am no stranger to therapeutic healing. I have dedicated my life to helping others navigate the often tricky business of extricating themselves from being stuck, of choosing a life with more authenticity. Finding a balance between the demands of work, home and self care can feel impossible. You may have sleep issues, rely on self-destructive behaviours, or just not know how to move forward. I’m here to help.

What does therapy for teenagers look like?
When a therapist works with a teenager, the pair will talk about what the teen is struggling with and explore solutions, which may involve interpersonal skills, coping strategies, medication, or lifestyle changes related to sleep, diet, and exercise. Different therapists employ different modalities, but most involve a combination of conversation and skill building.
How long does therapy for teenagers generally take to work?
There’s variability in teenagers’ experiences and challenges; some may begin to improve from therapy within a few weeks while others may take several months or longer. Teens can discuss their progress with their therapist periodically to assess how they’re improving and any changes to the treatment plan that could potentially accelerate that progress.
How do you encourage a teenager to go to therapy?
It’s helpful to express your concern and love while framing therapy as an opportunity to explore a tool that could help improve their life; just like they practice baseball or dance, now they can practice their emotional skills. Give your teen control over the process where you can—maybe by weighing in on choice of therapist and signaling that therapy involves confidentiality, so a parent need not know all that is discussed in sessions.
How do you prepare teens for therapy?
You can prepare your teenager for therapy by describing what the process will look like and setting expectations for timeline, if requested. You can explain that the first session may begin with an assessment phase, that they can describe their experiences but that the therapist will ask questions too, and that it may take time to feel comfortable opening up. Ask how they’re feeling about the process and answer any questions calmly and supportively.
