With specialized training in Couple & Family Therapy and a background in sex education, I am experienced at helping clients work through life's challenges.
I believe that our relationships can be sites of powerful healing. As a therapist it is an honour to work alongside couples and families as their relationships - to one another, to others, to themselves - transform. It is through this transformation that we come to better understand ourselves and create new ways of being that are more compassionate, empathetic and generative.

Specializing in sex therapy, couples therapy and relationship therapy, we know that you are capable of having the satisfying relationships and intimate life you deeply crave.
Your therapist knows how distressing it can feel to be disconnected from others. They will guide you towards greater love and compassion for yourself and develop your confidence in navigating intimacy and close relationships (improve communication with others, help you to regulate your emotions, resolve conflict, and express your needs and desires).

I have also completed certificates in sex therapy, Brain spotting, and multiple certificates in hypnosis.
Guys have way more going on emotionally than most of us are comfortable talking about. If you have never talked to someone about whatever it is that you probably should talk to someone about, then I may be the guy for you. Some men come to my office after they've recently broken up with their girlfriend (or she has broken up with him). Some are dealing with anxiety or are living under the influence of depression. Some guys are trying to figure out who they really are and what to do with their life. What they all have in common is that they have strengths to draw on and want to advance in life feeling better than they do now.

I support clients facing challenged related to sex, sexuality, and trauma.
Trauma can profoundly change how we relate to ourselves, others, and the world. You might feel guilty, ashamed or overwhelmed thinking of your past experiences. It’s common to find it hard to trust others and to feel anxious about the safety of the world around you. You may be questioning your identity, feeling disconnected from yourself, or overwhelmed by emotions. Despite the challenges you encounter, you deserve to tell your story and my goal is to ensure you feel not only supported but truly understood, acknowledged, and empowered.

Sex-related issues?
My approach is psychodynamic psychotherapy, meaning I primarily use talk therapy - anything that comes to mind, including dreams, fantasies, presenting issues and even in-depth exploration of early experiences - to help understand the root causes to heal old or repressed emotional wounds. The goal is, by revealing and understanding these earlier experiences, the client can become happy, healthy, confident.

If you find yourself saying 'yes' to any of these questions, treatment with a qualified sex and relationship therapist like myself might be right for you.
It can be difficult to talk to others about concerns you may have about your sexuality. Working with a qualified sex therapist can help you to develop skills to cope more effectively with problematic sexual thoughts, urges and behaviours. My approach to treatment is individually tailored and based upon current 'best practices' in sex therapy research.
