My clinical approach focuses on exploring and supporting the potential of the individual. I also work with couples, using the Gottman Method. Therapeutically, I come from a humanist, existential and Jungian approach - supporting the client’s goals, helping them incorporate new habits and addressing their challenges. I provide coaching for work-related issues including career development & transition and leadership coaching .
There are many reasons why you might want to talk to a therapist. You may be feeling 'stuck' about a problem or feeling unhappy about a situation and aren't sure what to do about it. Whether you've been struggling with an issue for a long time or facing a new challenge, talking to a therapist can help you gain insight and develop better coping strategies. Working from a respectful, client-centred approach, I guide you through a process of investigation to understand the source of the issue, identify what's working and not working and find solutions to move forward.

I help clients by going deeper into their unique make-up. Not to judge, or pathologize but to understand, accept and create custom strategies to achieve their life goals, whatever they may be, without attempting to change who they are. The strategies developed are inclusive of any challenges clients bring: anxiety; depression; obsessive compulsive disorder; post-traumatic stress disorder; grief; and sexual identify. With the right support, none of these challenges prevents clients from setting and achieving significant goals on their path to creating a meaningful life .

These techniques will help us explore our subconscious mind, master our emotions and extract the messages that we need to create the life that we want.
My mission is to guide you so you can explore what is keeping you "stuck" in a reality that doesn't satisfy you, make conscious what is now unconscious and transform the beliefs that are not letting you be where you want to be. I'm passionate about the union of psychotherapy and spirituality, providing a therapeutic space where we can cultivate unconditional compassion and acceptance for oneself, giving you the tools so you can continue this work in between sessions. My ideal client knows that there is healing in self awareness and getting to know themselves, and they are looking for guidance in this self discovery journey.

Life Coaching Counsellors

What can I expect from life coaching?

Clients and coaches will typically start by identifying the problem area(s) that the client hopes to address—then, the coach will help the client brainstorm potential solutions and explore concrete techniques to help the client attain their goals. Coaching is typically short-term and focused on finding solutions in the here and now, rather than exploring a client’s past. In addition to strategies aimed at the client’s specific concerns, coaches may encourage general stress management techniques such as meditation.

Can a life coach help treat anxiety?

Because the majority of life coaches are not licensed clinicians, they are not qualified to diagnose or treat anxiety. Anyone struggling with anxiety or another mental health condition should seek help from a licensed mental health practitioner. However, some coaching clients who struggle with subclinical anxiety report that working with their coach on other problems—such as career dissatisfaction or unhealthy habits—has a positive effect on their anxiety.

Can life coaching be done online?

Yes. While life coaching often happens in person, many coaches conduct sessions over the phone or via online platforms such as Zoom or Skype. Because life coaches are not subject to local licensing regulations in the same way that therapists are, they are able to see clients who live in other locations.

How long does life coaching last?

Life coaching tends to be a shorter-term process than therapy, though it does not always unfold over a specific period of time and is instead based on the coach’s or the client’s preferences. Coaching often takes place over three to 12 months but may be shorter or longer if necessary.
