Asking for help can feel like a challenge, but seeking support is an act of strength and self love. In a world full of pressures and uncertainties, having a safe space to simply "be" is essential. Having someone there for you to provide empathy, understanding, and a nonjudgmental environment where you can freely explore emotions and thoughts, face your fears, and find peace and calm in the everyday.

Past hurts can echo in the present—quick triggers, shutdowns, or the same fight on repeat. Trauma, whether from earlier life experiences or broken trust in relationships, can leave you feeling unsafe in your body and disconnected from the people who matter most. I help individuals and couples heal the impact of trauma, regulate overwhelming emotions, and rebuild safety and connection in daily life. Together, we’ll slow things down, create a clear plan, and use evidence-based tools to shift unhelpful patterns.

If you’ve been feeling like your emotions are “too much,” your relationships harder than they should be, or the past won’t leave you alone, you’re not alone. Old wounds, especially from childhood, can shape the way we see ourselves and others. You may find yourself avoiding closeness, clinging to it, or swinging between the two. Whether you’re coping with BPD, past relational trauma, or conflict with your partner, you may be looking for a space where you can finally exhale and be fully yourself.

I offer a warm, non-judgmental space for individuals navigating relationship or existential anxiety, as well as couples seeking to improve communication and rebuild trust. Together, we’ll uncover these patterns so you can communicate more clearly and feel more grounded, confident, and connected.

Using EFT and the Gottman Method, I guide you to communicate safely, break reactive cycles, and rebuild emotional and physical intimacy so your relationship can feel secure, supportive, and deeply connected again.
You love your partner, but lately it feels like you’re stuck in the same argument on repeat. You miss the ease and connection you once had. Maybe one of you shuts down, the other gets louder - or you both feel unseen, unheard, and tired of trying. You want to feel like a team again, to communicate without it turning defensive, to rebuild trust, closeness, and safety. You’re not ready to give up on each other - you just need help finding your way back.

Gottman Method Counsellors

How does the Gottman method work?

One of the core doctrines of the Gottman method is that negative emotions hurt relationships about five times more than positive emotions help them. Thus, couples require five times more positive interactions than negative interactions with each other. The therapist will guide clients on how to improve communication and understanding of each other to manage conflict and have their emotional needs met. The therapist will also advise couples on how to repair relations with each other when conflict arises, and therefore avoid lasting damage.

Is the Gottman method evidence-based?

Yes, this method is an evidence-based approach to couples therapy. The method is based on more than 40 years of research by Drs. John and Julie Gottman, the psychologists who developed the method. The Gottmans analysed decades of data to draw conclusions about what types of interactions are likely to lead to specific results, and which interventions are most likely to lead to success. Studies have found that this approach leads to improvements in relationship satisfaction, intimacy, communication skills, and a lower rate of divorce.

How long does the Gottman method take?

The duration of treatment depends on the specific challenges clients face. Sessions are typically 60 to 90 minutes long, and an average course of treatment is around 10 sessions. In some cases, such as for couples dealing with a critical problem, the therapist will suggest an intensive course of treatment, with daily sessions over the first two to four days. Treatment is complete when the couple is satisfied and has met the goals they’ve set, and when the therapist believes they have the skills to continue on their own.

Is the Gottman method effective?

Through the Gottman method, couples can achieve changes that are real and sustainable. This treatment has been used for more than 40 years; the method is supported by empirical research, including randomised controlled trials that have demonstrated effectiveness in improving relationship outcomes for couples. Like any talk therapy, success or failure depends in large part on how committed the clients are to making positive changes and working toward results.
