I also provide support to individuals going through difficult life transitions, feeling stuck in life or struggling to find a sense of meaning. I am intensely passionate about working with survivors of childhood abuse and narcissistic abuse, especially those who are now parents wishing to break the generational cycle and not pass on their wounds to their children.

We often look for therapy when something in our emotional life stops making sense. We might feel caught in grief or anxiety, or find ourselves reacting more strongly than we expected. A feeling returns, a pattern repeats, or something unsettles us without a clear reason. These moments are rarely isolated. They grow out of early relationships that continue to shape how we feel now. Much of what troubles us in the present began long before we had the words for it. Psychoanalytic psychotherapy offers space to look closely at these patterns, to understand why they keep showing up and how they might begin to shift.

I work with neurodivergent kids, teens, adults, and family members who want real, affirming support.
Accepting new clients! Life feels a little different when your brain doesn’t play by the same rules. Maybe you're navigating sensory overload, emotional outbursts, communication challenges—or just the constant pressure to “act normal.” Whether you’re neurodivergent yourself (Autistic, ADHD, or otherwise) or someone who loves and supports a neurodivergent person, you might be feeling overwhelmed, misunderstood, or burnt out. If you're tired of trying to force yourself (or your kid) to fit into a mold that doesn’t work, therapy can be a space where things actually start to make sense.

Specializing in somatic techniques and Internal Family Systems (IFS), I use an integrative approach informed by attachment theory and neuroscience.
Life is full of transitions, obstacles, and emotional complexities that can at times feel impossible to navigate alone. Are you struggling with difficulties in relationships, trauma, anxiety, or depression? Many of our struggles are rooted in past experiences, beliefs we’ve developed about ourselves, or patterns we’ve carried for years. By bringing curiosity and self-compassion to these patterns, we can begin to untangle the barriers that keep you feeling stuck. You are the expert in your own life, and my role is to support you in uncovering the inner wisdom and resilience that already exist within you.

Family Therapy Counsellors

What do family therapists do?

A family therapist facilitates the process of understanding and improving how a family functions. The therapist will help family members develop empathy for one another. They’ll seek to understand existing patterns, misunderstandings, and conflicts that arise, in order to help the family arrive at a realistic, unified understanding and develop the coping skills they need to build stronger relationships.

How long does therapy for families take to work?

Therapy manifests differently in every family; a common time frame is 12 weekly sessions, but some families may see improvement after just a few weeks. Families should discuss their goals with the therapist at the beginning of the process and periodically revisit those goals to assess their progress together.

How can you encourage a family member to attend family therapy?

You can encourage family members to attend therapy by expressing with both love and concern the challenges you see and explaining how a therapist could help the family navigate those challenges together. An outside perspective can help everyone feel heard, get on the same page, and develop new skills. If family members are still hesitant, it may be helpful to emphasize that family therapy is short-term—it won’t last forever.

Is therapy for families effective?

Family therapy can significantly improve family dynamics and relationships. Research suggests that family therapy can help individuals understand their role in the family, communicate and solve problems together, reduce conflict and draw boundaries when necessary, and develop coping skills for stressors, major life changes, and mental or physical illnesses within the family.
