She combines elements of CBT, hypnosis, EFT tapping, EMDR and communication coaching that aims to help you to live a happier life by healing the fragmented self.
We are ALL survivors of trauma. When we go through anything that the mind understands as traumatic, a part of us fragments. Most of the time, we aren't able to properly integrate the information and the experiences even after a lot of time goes by. We end up dragging around these fragments of ourselves who are still stuck in the trauma and due to this, we tend to attract and get triggered by situations that remind us of this trauma. Through various techniques, we can work with the fragmented self to integrate these experiences and memories to live a more fulfilled and complete life and achieve your therapeutic goals.

I enjoy using Narrative, Acceptance and Commitment, EMDR , Cognitive and Mindfulness based practices to help you explore and confront difficult emotions.
I work with individuals experiencing feelings of disconnection, anxiety, and self-criticism. Do you ever feel like you can't live up to your own standards or those of others? As though no matter how hard you try you remain stuck or unfulfilled? In a society that promotes speed, wealth, and unrealistic standards (of beauty, relationships, even self-care!) it can be increasingly difficult to find a space in which we feel heard and validated. When life prevents you from seeing the best version of yourself, I will see it for you, bringing your strengths to the forefront of our work together.

Combining over a decade of experience as a creative arts therapist with certifications and training in Complex Trauma, EMDR , Internal Family Systems, and Yoga therapy for trauma, I am here to support you on your journey towards lasting change.
Are you really living? Or simply existing? If life has become a treadmill of unhappy thoughts and unfulfilling behaviours, you're not alone. So many of us move from one unconscious pattern to the next, trapped in cycles that can leave us feeling hopeless and helpless. These cycles can keep us stuck in mindsets that cause distress, habits that make us miserable and relationships that bring us down. We go through the motions, our days shaped by these old cycles and patterns, and how we spend our days becomes how we spend our lives. But it doesn't have to be that way.

Working with clients to develop self-awareness and acceptance and process difficult emotions (using EMDR ) so that they can grow and learn to help themselves outside of therapy and long term is my goal.
I like to help clients gain new perspectives, gently challenge and encourage change and growth. I work with individuals and couples as well as parents to help them better understand themselves and their relationships with others in their lives. Exploring issues of failure, loss, fear, shame, anxiety and depression can be scary, but with the help of a psychotherapist it can be less intimidating and ultimately liberating. Working collaboratively with my clients in an empathic, non-judgmental and safe space, I am passionate about helping them improve their relationships, deal with difficult personal issues and life transitions.

Who is EMDR for?

EMDR was initially developed as a treatment for individuals with post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), for whom memories of a deeply distressing experience can be inadvertently triggered by random everyday events. The procedure has since been applied in the treatment of many other conditions. For example, it is used by some therapists to treat anxiety disorders including panic and phobias, depression, dissociative disorders, eating disorders, obsessive-compulsive disorders, and some personality disorders. It is suitable for adolescents and adults.

Why do people need EMDR?

People need EMDR as a way to manage distressing memories that in some way hamper the ability to function in the present. The procedure is believed to target the way memories are stored in the brain. Evidence indicates that past disturbing experiences cause ongoing distress because they were not adequately processed, and when such memories are triggered in the present, they are accompanied by all the emotions, thoughts, and physical sensations as the initial experience.

What problems does EMDR treat?

First and foremost, EMDR is intended as a treatment for PTSD, to defuse distressing memories that intrude on and impair everyday functioning. It is also often used to help those who are subject to panic attacks, phobias, and other forms of anxiety. In addition, EMDR has been used to treat individuals with depression, eating disorders, and personality disorders.

What happens in EMDR therapy?

First the therapist takes an individual’s history, and then the therapist and client decide which distressing experience(s) will be the target(s) of the exercise, delivered via a side-to-side visual stimulus requiring lateral eye movements. The client will be asked to activate thoughts, feelings, and any body sensations related to the troubling experience. The eye movements are said to reduce the emotional charge of the memory, so that the experience can then be safely discussed with the therapist and digested, minimising its ability to trigger anxiety.
