CONfused, DRAINED, or ALONE in your relationships? Putting the needs of others before your own? Are you changing yourself (like a chameleon) to feel appreciated? If the other person becomes your main focus and you modify your behaviors and subjugate your needs to keep the relationship going at any cost, you have codependency. Codependent people are MAGNETS for Arrogant, Narcissistic personalities. These relationships can stumble along for a long time, requiring huge amounts of effort and energy to sustain until they finally collapse. When that happens, feelings of betrayal and abandonment (codependent's biggest fear) can take over.

I practice an integrative style of therapy; mostly focused on IFS but I also draw from CBT and Neurobiology (including Attachment-based theory).
Hi and welcome! Talking about struggles is helpful, but deeper change happens when we don’t just understand something—we feel it shift inside. My approach helps you move beyond analysis and surface-level solutions into a deeper, experiential process of healing.
We all have different parts of ourselves—one that wants to stop drinking, another that reaches for the bottle; one that craves connection, another that shuts people out. These aren’t contradictions. They’re adaptations you’ve developed to navigate life. By approaching these parts with curiosity and care, we can help them shift into new, healthier roles that better serve you.

You give your all—to your relationships, your work, and the people around you. You try to make everything work, often putting your own needs aside. Even when you feel alone, unheard, or unseen, you push through. You want to advocate for yourself but don’t know where to start. At times, emotions can feel too big—leaving you anxious, lost, or stuck. You find yourself wondering why you connect with others the way you do, and deep down, you long for healthier, more fulfilling relationships—with others and with yourself. I specialize in helping you explore those patterns, feel more in control, and build sustainable ways of relating.

When we want to make changes in our lives, we need to be honest with ourselves. Yet, honesty takes courage, and honesty is integral to growth and healing. Being vulnerable is hard and painful because it can bring feelings of shame, inadequacy, and hurt. Yet, it also brings authenticity, it grounds us, and it liberates us, and that is when the healing process truly begins. And, it needs to come with abundant self-compassion. I work with individuals struggling with stress, anxiety, emotional regulation, depression loss, and grief. I meet my clients where they are at with empathy, kindness, acceptance, and curiosity.

Attachment-based Counsellors
Is attachment-based therapy the same as attachment therapy?
Attachment-based therapy may be confused with what is called “attachment therapy” (sometimes called “holding therapy”), a discredited and dangerous approach to treating children with attachment disorders, autism, or other mental health concerns. Attachment therapy—not attachment-based therapy—may involve restraining a child, forcing eye contact, and other coercive or abusive techniques. None of these practices are used in attachment-based therapy and the two modalities are in no way related.
What should I expect from attachment-based therapy?
Attachment-based therapy is based on attachment theory, which posits that children’s early relationships with their caregivers strongly influence their ability to navigate the world later in life. Thus, adults who seek attachment-based therapy should expect to deeply explore their childhood, identifying the dynamics or experiences that disrupted their attachment and the steps necessary to overcome challenges that arose as a result. Parents and children should expect to explore the possible factors that disrupted the parent-child relationship and work toward restoring trust and connection.
How long does attachment-based therapy last?
Certain forms of attachment-based therapy, especially those designed for parents and children, last for a set number of sessions; for example, Attachment and Biobehavioral Catch-Up, a specific attachment-based approach for young children who have undergone early adversity, unfolds over 10 one-hour sessions. When attachment-based therapy is practiced on adults or combined with other modalities, it may not last a specific length of time; clients may wish to ask prospective therapists how long they expect treatment to take.
Does attachment-based therapy work?
Most of the research on attachment-based therapy focuses on children and adolescents. Some of this research shows a positive effect, especially for attachment-based family therapy (ABFT). Other studies, however, have found that attachment-based therapy is no more effective than other approaches to childhood depression, anxiety, or suicidality. Less is known about the therapy’s efficacy on adult populations.
