I work with clients facing anger, relationship tension, family conflict, and cultural or spiritual stress.
You tend to carry a lot—mentally, emotionally, and in your relationships. You overanalyze interactions, struggle to manage overwhelming emotions, and often feel like you’re “too much” or “not enough.” Anxiety and reactivity may be showing up in ways that impact how you connect with others, and you're tired of repeating the same cycles. I work with millennials who are navigating anxiety, emotion regulation challenges, and the relationship strain that often comes with them. If you're ready for things to feel more stable, therapy can help.

Hello! As a former RN, working in healthcare has taught me the importance of patience, compassion, and remaining judgement-free, because you never know what someone is going through until they share their story. I view counselling as an opportunity to walk alongside people and learn about their strengths and struggles, working collaboratively as a team to examine problems, develop solutions, and plan for future success.

I’m Dale, and I support men in navigating the challenges that often go unspoken—stress, anger, relationships, work pressure, or feeling like you’re carrying too much on your own.
My approach is straightforward, practical, and supportive. We’ll look at what’s driving your stress, relationship struggles, or patterns that aren’t working, then build new ways of coping. Change might look like clearer communication, better control of emotions, or feeling more confident in who you are and how you show up.

I am a gentle and bold therapist. I will listen carefully to your experiences. I will explore with you connections between your present thoughts, feelings, actions and past events. The aim is to help you understand more about yourself. The blue print for our actions, behaviors, feelings and self-concept was put in place at a very young age. We may look for patterns that worked well in their early context, but do not work anymore. A change may be needed. The insight you gain in a committed, active therapeutic relationship can be a powerful tool.

For many, therapy becomes the option when disaster strikes. It is during these times that the support, input, and guidance from an unbiased third party can be transformative. For others, therapy is choice in an effort to maintain or improve mental/emotional health, coping skills, or relationships. If you want to work through or learn to understand your thoughts, feelings, or reactions; make sense of circumstances; and/or move towards successful change, you are in the right place. We all feel drained, uncertain, and even insecure at times: and my goal with this in mind, is to make the process of therapy uniquely tailored to you.

Anger Management Counsellors

How long does therapy take for anger management?

Treatment duration depends on the person’s specific challenges and circumstances. There are treatments for anger problems that are shorter and more goal-oriented, like Cognitive behavior therapy (CBT), which can last weeks to months. Others, like Dialectical behavior therapy (DBT) may last between six months and a year, while a more intensive treatment, like psychodynamic therapy, is open-ended, and clients may see their therapist for a year or longer.

How do you know if you need therapy for anger management?

Everyone gets mad from time to time. But when angry outbursts become frequent and cause damage to relationships, whether at home or in the office, it may be a good time to look into therapy. A therapist can assess where a client’s anger may be coming from, suggest strategies for averting angry outbursts, and help a client create a plan to become a calmer version of themselves.

Is there medication for anger management?

Medications do exist that help people mitigate the feeling of anger, but these are reserved for people with anger-related psychiatric disorders, such as intermittent explosive disorder, oppositional defiant disorder, or in some cases borderline personality disorder. In these cases, antidepressant medications may be prescribed to help with the client’s symptoms. In most cases of anger management, however, talk therapy is the recommended treatment, along with lifestyle changes where relevant.

What’s the best way to encourage someone to seek help for anger issues?

It’s helpful to express your concern and love for the person while framing therapy as a tool for improving their life. Offering specific examples of how an individual’s behavior affected either themselves or others should be done with compassion and with empathy. It may be useful to devise a game plan—breaking the process down into parts, such as finding a therapist, making appointments, and looking into insurance coverage.
