Healing happens when we support the whole person, caring for not only the symptoms but also what's further beneath the surface. I support teens and adults facing anxiety, depression, C-PTSD, personality and mood disorders, ADHD/ADD, self-esteem and perfectionism struggles, life transitions, and peer relationship challenges.

Thank you for being here! I am a clinical psychologist, and I help folks facing emotional, relationship, and behavioural challenges. I specialize in trauma treatment, including PTSD, developmental, racial, interpersonal trauma and domestic violence. I also support people dealing with grief, anxiety, OCD, depression, and personality disorders. In my work, I recognize how our beliefs, values, and worldviews—often shaped by past generations—affect how we see ourselves and function in daily life. I believe we do not need to be "fixed." Instead, we work together to become the person we want to be.

Does your mind spiral, making it hard to slow down, relax, or be present? Do you notice your attachment patterns and how it influences the way you connect with others? What would it be like to feel safe in your body, secure in your relationships, and at ease in your mind? You can begin to gently reconnect with the parts of you that have been protecting, coping, or hiding, and start to heal.

The goal of psychotherapy isn’t just about “fixing things" or "reducing symptoms." The ultimate goal of psychotherapy is to bring about psychological change, which is beyond what we "do.” When working with clients, I don’t rush or effort to get somewhere. If we go too fast and try too hard to achieve something, we will miss things that potentially can bring us learning about ourselves and opportunities for meaningful change. I use the NeuroAffective Relational Model (NARM) as the primary framework, which allows us to slow things down, exploring your heart’s desire and obstacles in the way of connecting to yourself and others.

You grew up in an unstable, chaotic, disconnected, or enmeshed home and now find intimacy, trust, and connection difficult in romantic relationships and friendships, as well as with yourself. You stay up at night, feeling anxious about how you relate or don’t relate to others, things you have said and done, blaming yourself. You want friends and partners who can understand you and be there for you but you also don’t know how to do these things. You might feel as if it is a lost cause, so you bottle this up and get up in the morning to keep going, putting on your mask of being fine.

Life can be unpredictable and can feel overwhelming at times. Along the way we sometimes rely on familiar and comfortable patterns of thought and behaviour that work in some ways yet ultimately don't bring us closer to who we want to be. I feel so honoured to be invited into your world and I take the responsibility to help make life more manageable, meaningful, and fulfilling seriously. I value your individuality and integrate elements from different evidence-based therapeutic approaches into my work with a focus on Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Narrative Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, and Mindfulness based practices.

Attachment-based Counsellors
Is attachment-based therapy the same as attachment therapy?
Attachment-based therapy may be confused with what is called “attachment therapy” (sometimes called “holding therapy”), a discredited and dangerous approach to treating children with attachment disorders, autism, or other mental health concerns. Attachment therapy—not attachment-based therapy—may involve restraining a child, forcing eye contact, and other coercive or abusive techniques. None of these practices are used in attachment-based therapy and the two modalities are in no way related.
What should I expect from attachment-based therapy?
Attachment-based therapy is based on attachment theory, which posits that children’s early relationships with their caregivers strongly influence their ability to navigate the world later in life. Thus, adults who seek attachment-based therapy should expect to deeply explore their childhood, identifying the dynamics or experiences that disrupted their attachment and the steps necessary to overcome challenges that arose as a result. Parents and children should expect to explore the possible factors that disrupted the parent-child relationship and work toward restoring trust and connection.
How long does attachment-based therapy last?
Certain forms of attachment-based therapy, especially those designed for parents and children, last for a set number of sessions; for example, Attachment and Biobehavioral Catch-Up, a specific attachment-based approach for young children who have undergone early adversity, unfolds over 10 one-hour sessions. When attachment-based therapy is practiced on adults or combined with other modalities, it may not last a specific length of time; clients may wish to ask prospective therapists how long they expect treatment to take.
Does attachment-based therapy work?
Most of the research on attachment-based therapy focuses on children and adolescents. Some of this research shows a positive effect, especially for attachment-based family therapy (ABFT). Other studies, however, have found that attachment-based therapy is no more effective than other approaches to childhood depression, anxiety, or suicidality. Less is known about the therapy’s efficacy on adult populations.
