I employ common sense strategies that allow my clients to implement new ways of seeing the world in a positive light. I'll tell you that the most powerful tool on earth is the human mind but nobody ever gave us the operations manual. I see myself as a mechanic of sorts, offering information from the minds operational handbook, allowing you to switch off the auto pilot and switch on your self determination to overcome adversity and accomplish more. And for what it's worth, I won't shy away from politically incorrect responses. The world can be harsh and I won't sugar coat it unless it's necessary to protect you from imminent harm.

My specialties are helping others to process big emotions like anxiety, low self-esteem, lack of motivation/focus, self-worth, people-pleasing, self-confidence, imposter syndrome, and boundaries in individuals and couples
You're a highly sensitive person and empath with a tendency to say "yes" too much. You have read the self-help books, tried things like meditation, journaling, and positive thinking - maybe you've been to therapy before, but you still feel stuck. This might look like people pleasing, self-sabotage, overwhelm or overthinking. Maybe for you it's anxiety, ADHD, low self esteem, overdrinking, procrastination, and difficulty regulating emotions. Often, this can show up as difficulties in interpersonal relationships - either being attracted to the wrong people or having a hard time finding fulfillment in your existing relationships

And I believe, in that space, that all the magic and growth are there waiting for us. Being a real live human, I've struggled with my own mental health and worked from both sides of the therapist’s desk. So, I see you.

I work with both individuals and couples.
I work from the firmly rooted belief that all people make sense. That all of our patterns have a purpose, and more often than not, that purpose is to protect ourselves. But why do these strategies sometimes feel like they are getting in the way of what we want or need? Together, we will bring curiosity and compassion to this question while adapting new strategies as we reorganize ourselves and our relationships.

Couples Counselling
Does couples counseling work?
Research shows that couples counseling is effective; it can reduce relationship distress and improve emotional awareness, communication, empathy, intimacy, and overall relationship satisfaction. For example, emotionally focused therapy was found to be effective for about 75 percent of couples, and those benefits lasted at least two years.
When should a couple seek counseling?
Couples can benefit from counseling if they consistently struggle in their relationship. They may have lost the ability to communicate effectively, become entrenched in harmful patterns, begun to fight more than usual, broken the other’s trust, suffered from a mental or physical illness, or faced any number of other challenges. Many therapists offer free consultations, so if a couple isn’t sure whether therapy is necessary, asking directly can provide clarity.
How can I get my partner to go to couples therapy?
The decision to seek couples therapy is often driven by one partner, who then convinces the other to participate. When discussing the idea, the initiator should be direct and assertive. They can state the problems they see and explain how the relationship would benefit from therapy. In more serious cases, they can also explain how their relationship may suffer without making any changes or seeking professional help.
How does a couple prepare for couples counseling?
The anticipation of beginning couples counseling can be difficult—sometimes more difficult than the first session itself. Taking a few moments to reflect can allay those concerns: What are the current challenges? When and how did they begin? What do they want the relationship to look like in the future? Reflecting on these questions can help individuals or couples articulate their goals. Of course, the therapist will also ask questions and guide couples through the process.
