I combine neurobiologically-informed modalities including somatic therapy, EMDR, mindfulness, IFS and trauma-informed CBT to help my clients integrate the pain of their past and move from stuckness to wellness.
Has "getting by" become a way of life? Are you feeling hijacked by anxiety, stuck in cyclical low mood, or simply overwhelmed in relationship dynamics? Toxic stress and trauma destabilize our nervous system and shake up our sense of safety and control. In therapy, we open the doorway to understanding and neutralizing the roots of your triggers. Trauma-informed therapy works to stabilize your brain and body so that surviving transforms into thriving. It empowers you to restore balance within... to become the architect of your mind... and to cultivate a resilient self, unburdened by the past or life's circumstances.

Welcome... There is a reason you are here.
Something in you knows it is time to understand the patterns shaping your relationships, your reactions, and your longings. My work invites you into that understanding with depth and care.
Rooted in humanistic and psychodynamic traditions and informed by trauma and nervous system work, I help you move beneath surface coping into the deeper disconnected architecture of your inner world. Together, we explore how past adaptations once protected you and how they may now be limiting the life and love you desire.

Struggling to feel misunderstood, and overwhelmed, that affects your ability to thrive in a world not built for you? Do you feel worn down, or emotionally flooded by masking your needs, or simply getting through each day? Do you wonder if your daily life and relationships could be based on authenticity rather than just survival? Nowadays, individuals and parents from the neurodivergent community are feeling stuck and isolated by the limited therapeutic spaces that truly "get" the neurodivergent experience.

My wholistic approach integrates somatic therapy, Brainspotting, and existential perspectives.
Many of the women I work with have spent much of their lives adapting—to cultures, expectations, family roles, and unspoken responsibilities. Outwardly capable and high-functioning, they often carry anxiety, emotional fatigue, or a quiet sense of not fully belonging. They are accustomed to translating themselves across worlds, managing others’ needs, and holding emotional complexity with composure. Strength has become second nature, yet it has often required self-silencing, over-functioning, and placing their own inner lives last.

Using somatic work, parts work, and CBT/DBT tools, I help you regulate anxiety, break patterns like people-pleasing, heal inner child wounds, and build secure, fulfilling relationships.
You look like you have it together but inside you feel anxious, overwhelmed, or disconnected. You may be stuck in familiar patterns like people-pleasing, overthinking, or struggling to express your needs. Even with self-awareness, things aren’t shifting. You might feel responsible for others’ emotions or pulled between cultural or family expectations and your own identity. Over time, this can lead to burnout, anxiety, or disconnection from yourself. You don’t just want insight...you want real change: to feel grounded, secure, and more like yourself in your relationships and daily life.

If anxiety is making it hard to focus, sleep, enjoy friends, or feel comfortable in your own skin, you are not alone. Many young people struggle with worry, racing thoughts, or physical tension that can make everyday life overwhelming. Parents may feel unsure how to help and want their child to feel calmer, more confident, and able to handle challenges. I provide a safe and supportive space where youth can understand their anxiety, learn strategies to manage it, and begin to feel more in control. I also help families strengthen communication and connection.

Somatic Counsellors
How does somatic therapy work?
Somatic therapy is a form of treatment that focuses on how the body and mind are interconnected. In this approach, physical symptoms are addressed because they may in fact signal emotional distress. Somatic therapists combine mindfulness, talk therapy, breathwork, yoga, dance, and physical manipulations of the body to help patients become more attuned to what their body is telling them.
Is EMDR a somatic therapy?
EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) is a form of somatic therapy, as it incorporates mental and physical principles. EMDR involves remembering a traumatic experience while allowing one’s eyes to track a side-to-side visual stimulus from a therapist. This lateral eye movement is believed to diminish the painful power of the memory so that it can be discussed with a therapist.
Is somatic therapy evidence-based?
Somatic therapy has been researched and studied, and some forms of somatic therapy are found to be effective in treating a wide range of conditions. Because somatic therapy encompasses many techniques, some, such as EMDR and meditation, have been studied more than others.
What is somatic trauma therapy?
Somatic trauma therapy is based on the idea that when people experience trauma, they can become stuck in the “freeze” part of a “fight, flight, or freeze” response. In this state, trauma can manifest itself both mentally and physically—through tension in the muscles, anxiety, and stress. Popular forms of somatic trauma therapy include EMDR, sensorimotor therapy, and somatic experiencing.
