I currently only offer virtual sessions. The best way to reach me is via email. First and foremost, I want to acknowledge your courage to seek support and every effort that brought you to this point in your journey. The human experience is deeply complex and I believe most mental health challenges stem from our innate desire to survive, connect and be accepted. By becoming aware of your relational patterns (past and present) and emotional responses, you can foster better understanding of yourself and others. With the right support, you can start to heal injured parts and live life with more clarity and insight.

Be the therapist you needed when you were a child. This mantra guides me every time I step into a session with a child. In today's world, everyone has a unique role in a child's life. And as a psychotherapist, my role is distinct yet profoundly significant. I am neither a parent worried about attachment nor a teacher focused on academics. Instead, I am a safe haven where a child can speak freely, without fear of judgment or misunderstanding. However, my work extends beyond individual therapy sessions. True and lasting change emerges from the family dynamic. My goal is to support not just the child, but the entire family.

For Couples: I can help you overcome obstacles to intimacy and resolve issues that are keeping you both stuck.
Are you feeling stuck, anxious, down or disconnected? Even if you’ve built a successful life, it’s possible to feel weighed down by self-doubt or worry. For 30 years, I’ve helped people get to the roots of what’s holding them back.
One fundamental truth that I have learned over the years is: What we have experienced, we expect. We won’t just focus on surface "fixes" for your symptoms (e.g., social anxiety, traumatic fears, and non-assertiveness); we will work together to understand their root causes and dismantle and heal them so that they can be replaced by new authentic ways of being within yourself, others, and the world.

I specialize in helping individuals and couples build strength and heal from toxic relationships, dysfunctional communication and understanding their past traumas.
We teach people how to treat us. If we don’t know how to love ourselves, to accept ourselves, to be compassionate with ourselves, how can we expect others to? If you struggle with issues such as people pleasing, guilt, shame, having high expectations of yourself but have low expectations of others then you have placed others’ needs over your own. If you have a hard time saying no because you worry that others will not like you or want to spend time with you, then working on boundaries assists you with experiencing clearer expectations of yourself and others. Work towards a healthier you.

Maybe it's the end of a relationship, a turning point in life, or a long-standing feeling of not being understood, of not quite knowing where you belong.
I understand that everyone's story is different, so I draw from an integrative approach, combining Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, and Solution-Focused Therapy, adapting to what works best for you. What I hope to offer isn't just support for right now, but something that stays with you — a way of being with yourself that lasts.

Many people spend vast amounts of time and money getting an education, obtaining a driver’s license, planning a wedding, or achieving their dream job, but few people are willing to spend the same amount of time and money investing in understanding themselves, knowing their values, and determining how to choose a partner who is a good match for them.
Utilizing an integrated approach which incorporates CBT, Narrative Therapy, Gestalt, Mindfulness, and Solution-Focused Therapy, I seek to help individuals, couples, and families discover their barriers to wellness, increase personal insights, and use practical techniques towards having more satisfying relationships.

Couples Counselling
Does couples counseling work?
Research shows that couples counseling is effective; it can reduce relationship distress and improve emotional awareness, communication, empathy, intimacy, and overall relationship satisfaction. For example, emotionally focused therapy was found to be effective for about 75 percent of couples, and those benefits lasted at least two years.
When should a couple seek counseling?
Couples can benefit from counseling if they consistently struggle in their relationship. They may have lost the ability to communicate effectively, become entrenched in harmful patterns, begun to fight more than usual, broken the other’s trust, suffered from a mental or physical illness, or faced any number of other challenges. Many therapists offer free consultations, so if a couple isn’t sure whether therapy is necessary, asking directly can provide clarity.
How can I get my partner to go to couples therapy?
The decision to seek couples therapy is often driven by one partner, who then convinces the other to participate. When discussing the idea, the initiator should be direct and assertive. They can state the problems they see and explain how the relationship would benefit from therapy. In more serious cases, they can also explain how their relationship may suffer without making any changes or seeking professional help.
How does a couple prepare for couples counseling?
The anticipation of beginning couples counseling can be difficult—sometimes more difficult than the first session itself. Taking a few moments to reflect can allay those concerns: What are the current challenges? When and how did they begin? What do they want the relationship to look like in the future? Reflecting on these questions can help individuals or couples articulate their goals. Of course, the therapist will also ask questions and guide couples through the process.
