I want to remind you that the journey is just as important as the destination, and for you, the healing can begin right now. I offer a safe and secure physical and virtual space for us to work through your life up to now. Together we identify themes that contribute to maladaptive patterns of thought and behaviour. Through an integrative approach to therapy we unpack past traumas and connect core beliefs. In an empathic, respectful and confidential
relationship
, therapy develops a nuanced understanding of your unique self, supporting your personal growth and emotional resilience.
You might be struggling with your relationships, current events or life experiences. You might be feeling a ‘stuckness’ in ways of thinking and behaving or your sense of yourself. Therapy offers a process to find new awareness and understanding, new ways to cope, clarify and resolve difficulties, and change and grow in meaningful ways. Various difficulties bring people to therapy. Some are dilemmas in personal, family and professional relationships. Some are anxiety, depression, and troubling internal conflicts. People can feel low self-esteem, a sense of inauthenticity and purposelessness.

Research has shown that the most important factor in therapy is the therapeutic alliance, or plainly put, the
relationship
between the client and the therapist. It is this kind of
relationship
in counselling that has been identified as the fundamental catalyst to facilitate and enhance wellness, change and growth. This, in addition to the tools used from such modalities as CBT, DBT, EFT, etc. that can help individuals to experience change, growth and increased well being. I'm honoured to help connect with you where you will hopefully feel encouraged, challenged, supported and helped to meet your goals and make changes in your life.

I specialize in
relationship
challenges, family dynamics, anxiety, trauma, grief and loss, life transitions, life purpose, recovery from betrayal, injury recovery, chronic illness, speaking difficult truths, spiritual support (multi-faith), energy work, and pandemic grief and loss.
If you’re struggling with a challenge that feels confusing, heavy, or scary, or if you’re at a crossroads in life and wondering what’s next, I can help. I can tune in to the core issue, support you through the confusion, and help you develop a clear and manageable plan to move forward. The Emotion Code (TEC) can also help you feel lighter by releasing trapped emotions. TEC is the simplest, quickest, and most efficient healing method in energy psychology today. Trapped emotions can even be passed down (inherited), or trapped in utero (prenatal). The Emotion Code clears our emotional baggage without having to relive past experiences.

Couples Counselling
Does couples counseling work?
Research shows that couples counseling is effective; it can reduce relationship distress and improve emotional awareness, communication, empathy, intimacy, and overall relationship satisfaction. For example, emotionally focused therapy was found to be effective for about 75 percent of couples, and those benefits lasted at least two years.
When should a couple seek counseling?
Couples can benefit from counseling if they consistently struggle in their relationship. They may have lost the ability to communicate effectively, become entrenched in harmful patterns, begun to fight more than usual, broken the other’s trust, suffered from a mental or physical illness, or faced any number of other challenges. Many therapists offer free consultations, so if a couple isn’t sure whether therapy is necessary, asking directly can provide clarity.
How can I get my partner to go to couples therapy?
The decision to seek couples therapy is often driven by one partner, who then convinces the other to participate. When discussing the idea, the initiator should be direct and assertive. They can state the problems they see and explain how the relationship would benefit from therapy. In more serious cases, they can also explain how their relationship may suffer without making any changes or seeking professional help.
How does a couple prepare for couples counseling?
The anticipation of beginning couples counseling can be difficult—sometimes more difficult than the first session itself. Taking a few moments to reflect can allay those concerns: What are the current challenges? When and how did they begin? What do they want the relationship to look like in the future? Reflecting on these questions can help individuals or couples articulate their goals. Of course, the therapist will also ask questions and guide couples through the process.
