Autism or ADHD diagnoses can cause worry and frustration.
Be the therapist you needed when you were a child. This mantra guides me every time I step into a session with a child. In today's world, everyone has a unique role in a child's life. And as a psychotherapist, my role is distinct yet profoundly significant. I am neither a parent worried about attachment nor a teacher focused on academics. Instead, I am a safe haven where a child can speak freely, without fear of judgment or misunderstanding. However, my work extends beyond individual therapy sessions. True and lasting change emerges from the family dynamic. My goal is to support not just the child, but the entire family.

Maybe you just need someone to truly understand what it’s like to parent a child with ADHD or autism without judgment, without blame, and without another "one-size-fits-all" parenting tip that doesn’t actually work.
You love your child more than anything, but some days, it feels like nothing you do is enough. The meltdowns come out of nowhere, simple transitions turn into full-blown battles, and routines that seem easy for other families feel impossible in your home. Teachers don’t always understand, family members offer unsolicited advice that doesn’t help, and you're left constantly advocating, explaining, and holding everything together even when you're running on empty. Maybe you feel like you’re failing your child because you don’t have the answers.

Struggling to feel misunderstood, and overwhelmed, that affects your ability to thrive in a world not built for you? Do you feel worn down, or emotionally flooded by masking your needs, or simply getting through each day? Do you wonder if your daily life and relationships could be based on authenticity rather than just survival? Nowadays, individuals and parents from the neurodivergent community are feeling stuck and isolated by the limited therapeutic spaces that truly "get" the neurodivergent experience.

Your 20s/30s were supposed to be the best years of your life, but lately it feels like your world is always on fire. Between your career, dating/relationships, and just having to be an adult, you’re constantly stressed and overwhelmed. Maybe your sleep is all over the place (hello 2 AM anxiety), you’re feeling stuck and unmotivated, or it seems like just about anything can set you off. You've been trying so hard to keep it together (I know your FYP and Instagram feed are full of self-help lately), but you're drowning and really need something to change. I hear you and I can help.

I'm a certified ADHD coach with 8+ years in mental health, helping adults with ADHD build systems that work for their brain.
You know you're capable of so much more, yet every day feels like an uphill battle. Maybe you've forgotten another deadline, lost track of a conversation mid-sentence, or watched an opportunity slip away because you couldn't get started. The shame spiral is real—that voice saying you're lazy or not trying hard enough—when the truth is your brain works differently. You're exhausted from constantly playing catch-up, masking your struggles, and watching others breeze through what feels impossibly hard. You don't need someone else telling you to "just focus." You need someone who truly gets it and can help you move past the barriers.

When should I seek treatment for ADHD?

You should seek treatment for ADHD if you consistently have difficulty with attention, hyperactivity, or impulsivity that interferes with your daily life. Symptoms of ADHD include the inability to sustain attention during tasks, difficulty organizing tasks and activities, being easily distracted, frequent fidgeting or squirming, and talking or interrupting excessively. If these symptoms interfere with your career, academics, or relationships—for example, consistently failing to complete professional projects on time—you should seek an evaluation for ADHD.

How does treatment for ADHD work?

Effective treatment for ADHD often consists of medication, behavioral therapy, and lifestyle changes. Stimulant medications such as Adderall and Ritalin work by altering levels of neurotransmitters in the brain; higher levels of dopamine and norepinephrine are known to improve attention and focus. Therapy works by helping people with ADHD understand the condition, discuss their areas of difficulty, and develop behavioral strategies to manage their symptoms. In some cases, modifying one’s diet and exercise can also help improve symptoms.

Are there specific medications for ADHD?

Medications to treat ADHD are generally stimulants, the most common are Adderall and Ritalin. There are two categories of stimulants: Amphetamines include Adderall, Dyanavel, Vyvanse, and Dexedrine, and methylphenidates include Ritalin, Concerta, Daytrana, Focalin, Quillichew, Quillivant, and Metadate. Non-stimulants and antidepressants may be used as an alternative if stimulants aren’t effective or viable for a particular patient.

How long does treatment for ADHD take?

It’s tough to give an exact time frame because everyone varies. In terms of medications, stimulants begin to work very soon after you take them, generally within the hour. It may take time to identify the right medication and dosage, but the medication itself is fast-acting. In terms of therapy, it takes time to develop skills and put them into practice, but you will likely see improvements within a few weeks or months.
