Feeling anxious, depressed, stressed-out, or just plain stuck? It is difficult to imagine any person at any age or stage of life who has not felt the impact of Covid. It has affected us not just as individuals, but also our family relationships, work lives, school lives, social lives and our ability to participate in the community. Social isolation and stress are major factors in depression and anxiety, and the rates of these have skyrocketed since the onset of Covid. Chronic stress, anxiety and trauma can lead to negative ways of coping, hurting ourselves and our relationships. Time to reinvent ourselves, create positive changes?

Wading through therapist profiles seems like an exhausting chore with no guaranteed pay-off. But so, too, does white-knuckling it through another week. You're "on," buzzing with anticipation, racing to stay two steps ahead of an impending yet unnameable fear that's nearly always in your chest. Then, you're "off," floating in a sea of numbness, viewing your loved ones as if through a wall of plexiglass. You've analyzed your past and you're doing life "right," so why does it feel like an unending performance of "I'm fine"?

May 2026 - Now accepting new clients. You can sense the undercurrent at dinner before the fight starts. You pre-apologize for things that aren't your fault, smile when you're devastated, and "I'm fine" is doing a lot of heavy lifting in your vocabulary. Your jaw has probably been clenched since yesterday and you didn't notice until just now. You're the obvious emergency contact for your loved ones - but who can YOU truly rely on? You've read the attachment books. You've done the breathwork. You can name the trauma response you're having WHILE you're having it. The self-awareness is there, it's just not creating lasting change

I am passionate about working with kids, young adults & couples!
Life’s been changing a lot lately - and instead of feeling exciting, it just feels… like a lot. Maybe you’re starting something new, ending something old, or trying to figure out what’s next, and it’s heavier than you expected. Stress builds fast, your mood dips, and your emotions can feel all over the place. One minute you’re fine, the next you’re overwhelmed or shut down. You’re trying to keep it together and do the “right” things - but it’s not feeling as manageable as it used to.

If you’re someone who’s used to holding everything together, showing up for everyone, and pushing through even when you’re exhausted, you’re in the right place. You don’t have to navigate burnout, self-doubt, or major life transitions alone. Therapy can be a place where you set down the pressure and explore who you are beneath all the expectations. A place where you can say the things you’ve kept to yourself, slow down long enough to notice what you actually need, and reconnect with the parts of you that you’ve had to put on hold.

Marriage Counselling
How does marriage counseling work?
Marriage counseling works by teaching couples concrete skills to communicate with one another and solve disagreements in healthy ways. A trained mental health professional works with both members of a couple to explore difficulties the couple may be having and helps them develop skills to address these matters. Couples who don’t have any difficulties but want to prepare for marriage may develop skills for the future.

How long does marriage counseling typically last?
Marriage counseling is a short-term form of therapy; the process may last between four and eight sessions. Other forms of relationship guidance from mental health professionals, such as couples therapy, are longer lasting, may focus on the past rather than just the present, and are tailored to the individual couple and their emotions, history, and patterns in the relationship. Couples therapy often lasts for 12 weeks or longer.

Is marriage counseling effective?
Marriage counseling helps many couples develop relationship skills that may not have been acquired or tested in a relationship; partners may be better able to communicate and address conflict following counseling. However, there are many different forms of marriage counseling, and this form of counseling does not have as strong an evidence base as other modalities such as couples therapy.

Is marriage counseling effective if only one partner wants to go?
Yes, marriage counseling can still be effective if one partner convinces the other to engage in the process. Of course, whether counseling is effective depends on the couple’s commitment to work on their relationship; however, the short-term, skills-based nature of marriage counseling makes it a relatively easy “ask” of a partner, and the hesitant individual may see its value once counseling begins.
