Blending modern psychology, relational depth, and somatic inquiry, I support clients seeking more than symptom relief.
What happened to you matters, but so does feeling better. You may look “put together” on the outside while feeling exhausted, overwhelmed, or disconnected on the inside. Maybe you’re the strong one, the achiever, the caretaker, yet you’re running on empty. You might be deeply capable in many areas of life while quietly wondering how much longer you can carry the stress, the pressure, or the pain that won't dissipate. I offer a grounded, compassionate space where evidence-based therapy meets soulful, trauma-informed care to help folks not just cope, but connect with meaning, safety, and self-understanding.

Modern life asks a lot of us. You might look like you’re holding it all together on the outside, yet inside feel anxious, exhausted, overwhelmed, or disconnected. When your nervous system has been in “survival” mode for too long, it can be hard to truly rest or feel like yourself.
In therapy, we’ll slow things down and gently explore how your body and mind have adapted to stress. Together, we’ll build practical tools to help you feel more grounded, connected, and at ease in your everyday life.

You’ve been holding it together for everyone else, but lately it’s starting to feel heavy. Maybe you’ve noticed yourself snapping more easily, feeling disconnected from your partner, or struggling to quiet that constant inner critic.

I integrate the following: ACT, Narrative Therapy, IFS, Humanistic Therapy, EFT, Somatic and Nervous System focus, and Existential Therapy.
To me, therapy is a warm, comfortable space we build together; it’s an hour outside of your everyday life, a shared place we can process whatever needs to be processed from the safety of. Care, compassion, non-judgement, and a genuine therapeutic relationship are the foundations of our work together and are my main priorities. My focus is always holistic: we have to look at every layer - from the cues your body and nervous system are giving you to the systemic messages surrounding you - to reach not just the bandaids but the deeper roots of distress and, ultimately, growth. I work from an actively affirming and anti-oppressive lens.

Having your life disrupted by insomnia isn’t just physically exhausting. It’s mentally and emotionally draining too. Maybe you’ve made big changes to your life, like cutting out socializing or juggling endless sleep aids and routines (that don’t even work). It’s common to feel lonely and misunderstood. You may also feel confused about some of the physical symptoms happening in your body. I understand what you’re going through because I struggled with insomnia for 5 difficult years. While they were the hardest years of my life, I want you to know there is hope. You can absolutely get back to sleeping and feeling like yourself again.

Overwhelmed, anxious and oh so tired? How many hours have you spent doing what you don't want to be doing? Or spinning in anxiety and fear about all the unknowns? Lost in the hustle of everyday life - fighting to get it all done, and caring for everyone else, all while trying to fix your feelings and free yourself from the voice in your head telling you you aren't good enough. Not to mention cleaning up all the messes and keeping your houseplants alive. It's exhausting! Climb out of the fog of the have-to or should-dos, and everyone else's needs. No more gripping, no more pushing or resisting.

How does somatic therapy work?
Somatic therapy is a form of treatment that focuses on how the body and mind are interconnected. In this approach, physical symptoms are addressed because they may in fact signal emotional distress. Somatic therapists combine mindfulness, talk therapy, breathwork, yoga, dance, and physical manipulations of the body to help patients become more attuned to what their body is telling them.
Is EMDR a somatic therapy?
EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) is a form of somatic therapy, as it incorporates mental and physical principles. EMDR involves remembering a traumatic experience while allowing one’s eyes to track a side-to-side visual stimulus from a therapist. This lateral eye movement is believed to diminish the painful power of the memory so that it can be discussed with a therapist.
Is somatic therapy evidence-based?
Somatic therapy has been researched and studied, and some forms of somatic therapy are found to be effective in treating a wide range of conditions. Because somatic therapy encompasses many techniques, some, such as EMDR and meditation, have been studied more than others.
What is somatic trauma therapy?
Somatic trauma therapy is based on the idea that when people experience trauma, they can become stuck in the “freeze” part of a “fight, flight, or freeze” response. In this state, trauma can manifest itself both mentally and physically—through tension in the muscles, anxiety, and stress. Popular forms of somatic trauma therapy include EMDR, sensorimotor therapy, and somatic experiencing.
